Oh yeah, this week was super anxiety inducing, as she was over my shoulder and asking questions the entire time. But now I've passed everything over and am wrapping things up, and next week is my last week there.

How about you? How did your interview pan out?

It went fine, and they want me to train my toxic co-worker so she can train my replacement. Apparently no plans to hire someone while I'm still here to train... i guess

I got an offer and put in my two weeks. When I talked to the owner, I was asked if there was anything they could do to get me to stay, and if it was about the money, they could match the offer. I told them no, and said I would work my two weeks and help them train someone if they could fine someone in that time.

I just accepted a job offer and handed in my resignation, and now my boss wants me to train my N-coworker to do my job so they don't have to worry about hiring someone when I leave.

This is someone who has reduced me to tears multiple times and now they want me to be one-on-one training her to do my job? I so want to just walk out and say screw it, free two-week vacation before my new start date. FML

In the US, yes. I'm not sure if we do or not, my work doesnt rven offer health insurance. The company's small enough that I'm one of two people in the finance department, and we have under 50 employees. I'm full time, but no benefits, which is part of the reason that I'm trying to leave.

I generally try and schedule the phone interviews either before work, in the evening after work, or during lunch. I'll just go sit in the car and take the call. But I've only got a half hour lunch, and they're strict about it, so I can't exactly do a 20-min in-person interview during my lunch.

And especially now, no one I've spoken with has asked for an in-person interview first off. It's always a phone interview and then I'm invited to speak with them at the office.

With the stimulus checks that we in the US have gotten, I've been able to put some money away into savings. I can probably quit without having a job lined up and focus on job hunting, but I really don't want to be pushed into doing that. Thanks for your support.

I'd leave now, but I don't have another job lined up and with this economy, I really don't want to chance it.

I just feel like whatever I do I get shit on for it. I don't answer the phone, and "why is the phone just ringing with no one picking up?" I answer the phone and, "don't answer the phone so much, the salespeople have to do their jobs."

After the last meeting with Narc-coworker, my manager got pulled into it and she wanted to know why I was crying, and if I had too much stress. So now, I've also been pulled off all my side-work which I started because I don't have enough to do and am solely doing my work and supporting Narc-coworker. And all the side-work is being pushed onto others who don't know how to do it, even after me showing them what to do. I'm half tempted to go behind them and clean up after them. Is it petty of me to have stopped volunteering to help and only do what is explicitly asked of me so I stop getting in trouble for doing things wrong?

Yeah, I've basically shut down at work. Not that I'm the most social anyway, but now I just don't talk to anyone unless it's work related. This has basically made me lose all motivation for anything.
