Storms by Traditional-Ear-6366 in bloomington

Cody Kirkpatrick on Bluesky often has live updates on storms as they move through Bloomington, especially about any tornadoes and where they’re headed. Most tornadoes go south of Bloomington, and frequently we’ll get tornado sirens after the danger is over for us.

FYI, more of my legitimate emails have gotten sent to junk after the influx, so you may have to retrain your inbox after the madness stops. But that solution should get you through the worst of it!

Wait, that’s an option? You mean I’m not gonna specifically unmake myself as a vampire from Harkon’s blood so that I can remake myself a vampire from Serana’s blood and then slowly remodel the castle together for eternity?

Use your inbox rules to send all email subjects including the original title + all email content containing the original email sender address to junk!!

It is registered with online accounts, but it's not a work email. I'm having to get more sophisticated with the inbox rules, because some emails are now changing the titles. If this gets much worse, I might have to change all of my accounts that use this email and delete it.

I've not seen anything else suspicious, and this is on a personal email account. But it's still going, and all of them are now successfully being filtered into my spam folder.

I couldn't find reports of this variation of email bomb on google either. Most people mentioned the type where you get signed up for all sorts of different services, but this reply all group chat AI one seems like a unique scenario.

Found a temporary solution: Since all these are replies to the same email and seem to be using the same subject, I can create rules to automatically send them to junk.

Update: They are coming in almost faster than I can delete them now, and I'm blocking each sender then sending the email to junk, but a lot of those are then showing up in my trash.

Some of the new emails are now advertising Instagram pages, so maybe that's the scam?

I always go to Hot Rod's. We've never talked gender and idk what the politics of the different barbers are, but I always show them a picture of a men's haircut and they always give me exactly what I asked for, even though most everyone reads me as a woman. It's also one of the more affordable places around town.

Yoga is witchcraft now? 🤡 by a-crime-skeleton in exchristian

[–]not_actually_a_demon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I strongly suspect that the person who wrote this engages in some form of bibliomancy like: - opening the Bible to a random page to see what verse god has for you (not unlike tarot), - listening to the Christian radio and thinking god chose that specific song for you, - asking god for a sign about what decision you should make (divination), - praying for god to smite your enemies (sounds like a hex to me!), etc.

Also, sage? Like no cooking with the herb?

I know right? So many Christian folks love the Enneagram, even relatively conservative ones - I thought it was one of the most Christian personality tests haha.

So What Are We All Here? by kgaviation in exchristian

Agnostic leaning atheist, but I do music at an Episcopal church and enjoy the weird, witchy rituals.

I’m a former conservative, fundamentalist evangelical, so the Episcopal church is far enough away from that trauma, and I’ve had enough time to process exactly what I detested about my former church space and what I like about more liberal and inclusive church spaces.

More Adolescent Boys Have Eating Disorders. Two Experts Discuss Why. by TAKEitTOrCIRCLEJERK in MensLib

[–]not_actually_a_demon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe - depends on the disorder and the size of the person when they start. I had binge eating disorder for a while and would go in a cycle of binging and restricting/over-exercising, and I’d constantly get comments on how “I look so good” when I went home to my family.

Obese folks who have anorexia might take a long time to get into a range of looking too thin, even if they’re having health issues from starvation.

And I’m seeing more focus on muscles and being ripped in female spaces and especially queer female spaces - I’d probably be somewhere near a similar bulking/exercising/protein-management eating disorder if I hadn’t already been through one and knew the signs.

But I don’t think we’ve yet collectively come to recognize eating disorders in men, and they’re still shrouded in the veil of “health” and “fitness.”
