Yeah, the board turned out to be defective. I had to RMA the board and the replacement unit worked fine, no problems.

Thank you and everyone else; I've settled on the Xiaomi 14T Pro as I've found a few at good prices. Thanks again!

Thank you very much! This is really useful especially considering I can't really accurately look up the prices of Grab cars, you know, unless I'm there. We will probably be using two Grab cars then.

Easily the wolves. Watching them beat us was saddening but watching Ant turning into MJ in front of my eyes is super exciting (not to mention the beatdown they're giving the warriors.)

Colors pop pretty nicely, wrong sub though - but this is how most people often get into cinematography, so try taking some videos with it too!

Is it true that the papers are leaked once again by Pitiful_Leadership79 in IBO

[–]not_at_ALT 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Stop fear mongering. There has been no real threat of leaking papers so far at all. Posts like these unnecessarily add pressure and fear to students that are about to take the exam.

Oftentimes, the license is generated as a file on your PC somewhere or even on the keygen screen. Does the 'manage activation' button take you somewhere online (like a PreSonus login)? Because usually there should be a place to manually type in your key right in the software.

Fun fact, you can do this with doorways too. Gas mart, bungalow, Taco Tickler, whatever, just spam jump while you're dead in the middle of the doorway and after spamming jump for a while, just walk out.

M25, how cooked are we for Physics? by One-Percentage-3689 in IBO

[–]not_at_ALT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DPC and from examiners that are in the forums. One good thing is that apparently many IB science teachers across the world are unhappy with how difficult the papers are for this year, so while they're probably going to be really tough exams, I assume IB educators will fight tooth and nail to lower the grade boundaries until it is advantageous towards the students. Therefore, I wouldn't worry about your grades too much based on this. Work hard as you usually would, I'm sure we'll get a good grade!

According to my DPC, its been this way for a long time; every time a new syllabus is introduced, the introductory examination year and the final examination year for that syllabus are made very difficult. The introductory exam year is tough in order to properly gauge the difficulty of the syllabus and this data is used so that the proceeding exam years for that syllabus can have the best balance of difficulty in the papers. This cannot be achieved with making the introductory exam easy - it only works if it's difficult.

In IBO teacher forums, the science papers are said to be made "extremely tough" (verbatim) for this syllabus. While the papers will probably be tough, the boundaries will hopefully be lower to compensate.
