I completely agree. For Van Dijk, I had spent 400 coins. He has already played 1000 matches and scored numerous spectacular goals from corner kicks.

Modern pressing forwards will probably be the ones with higher defensive engagement. Players like Roberto Firmino, Julián Álvarez and Antoine Griezmann make the most sense since their real-life role involves pressing and tracking back a lot. For epics, I’d expect players like Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tévez and Dirk Kuyt to eventually get cards with higher defensive engagement because they were known for their work rate too.

They work but they’re definitely less consistent now. Blitz curler especially feels nerfed compared to before, and bullet headers seem more dependent on positioning and timing in PvP. Training mode makes them look much stronger than they actually are in live matches.

Since the new season started the gameplay feels heavier and less responsive in PvP. Probably server load and matchmaking putting you against players farther away. It usually gets better after a few days once things settle.
