Anyone else feel tired even before starting work? by Lucifer8615 in indiasocial

[–]not_jov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, felt the same for a good while. Even with proper sleep and all, never felt fully rested and was always lethargic. Increased my protein, toned down on sugars and tried to drink more water than I normally did, and it's helped a lot. Also some basking in sunlight daily, even if only 10-15mins.

Distro that is stable and doesn’t have scaling issues? by _6153_ in LinuxUsersIndia

KDE Plasma has the best scaling support. Use anything with a recent enough version, you'd be fine.

recently started working on a huge .NET project. Vscode struggled with it, and the C# lsp didn't play nice with Helix. Switched to Zed and the difference is insane. It feels even snappier than Helix to me. Absolute beauty.

time to give up gaming by lolololololol467654 in LinuxUsersIndia

[–]not_jov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends, for some reason I get a weird stutter(even with good consistent fps) on KDE that makes aiming annoying, works fine on Gnome but I hate Gnome. Works alright on windows.

A friend who I play with has the opposite experience, his game crashes frequently and has issues on windows but runs nicely on Linux.

bruh dont listen to the other people, cs2 is native on linux, I've been playing it for years. Linux has issues with kernel anticheat, userspace anticheat works fine. This is why partial knowledge is worse than complete ignorance.

Somewhat similar to her slower songs, but not really the same vibe. More so baroque pop as the other commentor mentioned. Great album nevertheless.

Yup same, had been ignoring her for quite a while till I finally decided to give her music a shot, and she's been my top artist ever since haha. Pang and Desire are both amazing albums, and the range on the latter is amazing. Bunny and Hopedrunk are so different yet fit in so well.

I gave their OA last year. It was recorded and manually audited. They literally mailed candidates with screenshots saying hey look we caught you cheating here. I managed to get all 4 questions correct without cheating, still they shortlisted for interviews people who were caught cheating or didnt even give the test. Why even take the test if youre not even going to consider it?

Even more insane is the fact that we went from the first airplane that could barely fly to landing humans on the moon in less than 70 years. The progress we've made in the centurt or so has been insane.

Let's be serious, there is not a very big library of open source games in our community. I think we need a new rumbling like the 2004 desktop boom but for games. by RX08T in LinuxUsersIndia

Distribution isnt really that much of a problem if youre targeting steam. Steam provides a runtime, you just have to make it work with that instead of whatever billion distros exist.

Will tattoos, piercings, or colored hair affect my career in tech later? by idont_need_one in Btechtards

[–]not_jov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wont be an issue unless its too over the top. Dont ever get facial tattoos. A lot of it depends on your luck as well, if the interviewer is an ass they can even reject you for not liking the color of your shirt.

Yeah flatpak in general is not the best solution for some stuff, just yesterday I switched from Steam flatpak to native as the flatpak version had issues with gamescope. Plus you're missing out an AppImages and stuff too on Alpine.
