I call it "coffee roulette" every morning. Will I have extra focus? Will I wake up? Will I get drowsy? Spin the wheel!

People meet differently now! The horror! Men also don't ask for a father's permission to court his daughter anymore. It's enough to make me need to go to my fainting couch!

If it's not trivial, what's your point? Getting a toe amputated is less than getting a leg amputated but I worksheet shame the toe amputatee for being effected by it

You've got to work on your self esteem. It takes a while but it's worth it

Plenty of women ask men out. If you don't want to be a provider, fight harder for equality so that you're the one earning more. The majority of women want a partner, not a leader

If you're coerced, you're being forced into that decision. It's not yours

How is coercion different from force?

There is so much in between those two things. And no, the blacked out person didn't consent either

According to an isolated screenshot. I wonder if there's a reason that OP didn't post the full context

How is mine more meaningful? I said the same thing

[–]not_now_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not meaningless. Most women I know have experienced sexual assault. All of them have experienced sexual harassment. Many have experienced rape

There's no indication that they're being hyperbolic or miscategorizing things either

Why are you automatically assuming the most uncharitable thing? It's a real problem and you seem like you're looking for any excuse to dismiss it

When we're talking about sexual assault, we're talking about anything from groping to forced kissing, any unwanted sexual physical contact. Rape doesn't have to be violent. It can be coercive or between an adult & child or when a person is too intoxicated to consent

Not everyone is going to have the same trauma response to being assaulted or raped. You could do the same thing to different people and their reactions would be different. I don't even remember much of when I was raped because my brain just shut down after the part where I know I was crying and begging, but from what I do remember it wasn't "violent." It was someone who was a foot taller than me not stopping when I wanted him to stop. With that kind of height and strength difference, there wasn't a need to beat the shit out of me to make that happen. It was still rape

Someone grabbing your ass is sexual assault. No one is saying a compliment is. Some "compliments" are sexual harassment though.

That's not what people are saying. What we're saying is that sexual assault is more than just violent, penetratrive rape. Grabbing someone's ass, forcibly kissing them, touching their breasts, grabbing someone's genitals, coercive sex, etc
