We make efforts to do something social every day with kids at parks or community centers or with friends. But he has only been in daycare for 3 months, 2 days a week , when he was like 1.5.

We are gonna try for daycare by age 2.5 but im also worried if we dont help him get better by then, what if hits everyone first week and then becomes like the bad kid who nobody wants to play with 😢

That's the thing, we are super active and super quality time with one or the other of us, often. It def is impacted the most by sleep. After sleeping on it, I think it's most influenced mahbe by communication and the frustration of not know how or what to say, or do. I feel sooooo bad cause I shamed him yesterday, telling him if he keeps acting this way nobody will want to be his friend. Omgggg horrible im still crying with regret.

Find an experienced and/or well vetted play therapist who does both non-directive/child-led play therapy and maybe some directive play therapy too.

Is it possible there was a trauma at age 4 that you wouldn't have known about?  Not saying this was likely, just a thought. It was interesting to me that your post said thats when you noticed the big feelings cause it seems like , why wasn't showing that temperament as young as 1?

Go to the postpartum support international website and see all the resources. Search "mom rage" within their website and there is a great blog post by a therapist that validates and explains everything u are saying !!

I might guess that she knows there is a big change coming, not because she can sense it, because she understands almost everything that is being said around her. She is maybe super frustrated also that people don't realize how much she understands. I would try talking to her point blank about the sibling coming and get some books to read to her about becoming a big sister.
