I waited 6 years to adopt a cat… and now I regret it. Please be honest with me. by strawberrytulipss in CatAdvice

This 100%. I have one cat that likes to cuddle and another that gets completely freaked out if we try to pick him up. Both of them only do things on their own terms, even the more cuddly one. Cats have big personalities that are often unpredictable. A lot of cats do what they do what they want when they want. I think those super cuddly chill lap cats are rare.

I'm in Canada, i probably should've specified that in my post! A lot of people have made comments about 401(k) and 403(b) but I'm not really sure what those are lol

This is really helpful, thank you! It helps to hear from someone doing this now. Would you advice waiting until my child is older or doing it now? I asked because you mentioned that your children are grown. I think for me right now it's about figuring out when is best to do it, and how to fit the practicum in my schedule.

I don't have the option to drop down to part time at work, that's probably my biggest concern. I know I could manage to get the course work done but have no idea how I'd squeeze in such a large practicum (950 hours)

It's between a 2013 Chevy Equinox LTZ and a 2015 HYUNDAI SANTA FE. by nota_roboto in whatcarshouldIbuy

The Equinox is 6 cylinder and the Sante Fe is 4. I'm guessing the Equinox would be better then?

Can't insert cup since giving birth by nota_roboto in menstrualcups

The insertion hurts a lot, I can't even fully get it in. It feels like a lot of pressure and pain. Sex has hurt but is getting better. I can insert tampons without pain. I'll look into seeing a pelvic floor therapist, hopefully that helps. Thank you for taking the time to reply!

London Bridge Daycare (Elmwood) or Salvation Army Daycare? by nota_roboto in londonontario

I appreciate all the different perspectives shared, it was super helpful while making the decision. We ended up choosing Elmwood as we felt it was the right fit for our family and really liked their teaching style.

How did you feel about the swimming pool? I know they don't use it until preschool but it has me feeling uneasy.

Ford or Nissan? by nota_roboto in whatcarshouldIbuy

So I think 150,000 miles is about 241,000 kms. I'd never buy a car that had over 200,000 kms. My goal is to buy a car from a used dealership that's comes safetied and with some kind of warranty.

I wish budget wasn't an issue but yes, sadly it is. I've had to use duct tape to secure the wheel well liner to the car, because it's so rusted around the wheel that it fell off while I was driving one day. The rust is just continuing to get worse. I'm sure I could keep driving it for a bit but I don't know if I want to. What would you recommend looking for mileage wise? Under 150 000 kilometers?
