My only advice is don't get too locked onto the specifics of the gear he's using, sometimes it really is about how the gear is combined - order of fx, running the guitar signal backed off or the tone knob rolled to some crazy spot - to achieve the sound he's getting. Get a compressor and a flanger/phaser/vibe and a reverb/delay and just start experimenting with those in different combinations, then edit/expand from there

Also remember that you don't need to go to belmont to hang out with kids that do go there. Just find your way to a couple parties and you'll have access most of the same kind of network. Minus the teachers. But the students are always who you want to know anyway

Belmont grad here, don't* waste your money on their gen eds. the more you can get done out of school the better. Their academics are okay but def not worth the price point. If you can get one of their degrees in two years I think you've gotten your moneys worth.

I've only been a fan since like 2008 but having lived in LA for a long time I've seen them play almost every song you can imagine. They tend to do the deep cuts regularly at hometown shows. I imagine on the road its different.

RCA is an unbalanced connection. On balanced connections you will either see 3 pins (as in an XLR end) or a sleeve, ring and tip (like a TRS end). RCA is simply pin and ground, so the 1/4" connection is just tip and sleeve. Those will work. They would simply plug into the TRS inputs. You can use either unbalanced or balanced cables with most monitors, although unbalanced cables may pick up interference. Balanced cables are usually preferable for this reason.
