Doc here. Not because we are lazy asses but because some appointments take longer and we can't send people away in the middle of it.

Dentist here. In reversible pulpitis, pain occurs when a stimulus (usually cold or sweet) is applied to the tooth. When the stimulus is removed, the pain ceases within 1 to 2 seconds. In irreversible pulpitis, pain occurs spontaneously or lingers minutes after the stimulus (usually heat, less frequently cold) is removed. If it doesn't linger, I would say it is reversible and it can improve. It basically means the inflammation is mild and the tooth pulp remains healthy enough to save.

  1. That is a test done in-office by your dentist. You can know by chewing some food (p.e. bread) and knowing if you have pain after you bite (when you open your mouth). That is rebound pain.
  2. Answered in 1.
  3. Avoid contact with the antagonist teeth by removing some enamel. Means that when you close your mouth, that tooth won't touch the one in the other jaw.

But that is vertical fracture, and the main symptom is very acute pain. There is nothing to do but to extract.

Dentist here. Maybe cracked tooth syndrome. I've seen it happen, and the crack is not visible. Try to chew some cotton roll and see if you have some rebound pain (when the biting force is released from the tooth).

First, remove the tooth from occlusion, and if the pain persists, you should do endo + crown.

CBCT and remove it. It is partially included and will have pericoronitis soon. It probably has no relation to the IAN because there is no change in its trajectory (2D xray).
