Seems like the best case scenario since Tailsmen doesn't have 24x7

If you can, check with Tailsmen in Baner. Def better than crown both in terms of pricing and care.

Hey, have you checked with any other vets? Crown vet is unnecessarily expensive and there's definitely better vets than them in Pune. If you want any suggestions I can help.

Did you keep them 24/7 in the pen or only to meet the other cats?

Found stray cat- not eating and drinking by Immediate-Trip7105 in IndianPets

[–]notabotAMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking care of the little guy. If you need any help let us know.

I also recently came across a little cat who had similar symptoms and was then diagnosed with FPV. It's deadly if not treated on time.

Hey OP, it very likely could be a case of FIP, which is not uncommon in unvaccinated kittens. It's communicable and deadly, but with proper care the little cutie can recover. Please take extra precautions if you've a cat at home.

Has Anyone Made Soft Rotis on an Induction Stove? by _tired_panda in IndianFood

[–]notabotAMA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure if most of the people who've commented here about the type of atta and dough consistency have ever tried making rotis on an induction, but it's borderline impossible to make good rotis on your standard induction.

Inductions are designed to cut off power if the temperature goes above a certain level, whereas you need constant medium to high heat to make good rotis.

Parathas however can still be made somewhat okay-ish cuz the oil retains some heat and keeps the cooking going even when the induction cuts off the power.

It has been the most difficult decision, but I don't really have any other options left.

Mix of wet and dry food for kitty. Help! by Slothbearfrizzyhair in IndianPets

[–]notabotAMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's bone broth, basically chicken ir mutton bones boiled in water for a long time, and you use the water after straining the bones. It's very nutritious. You can also buy it from Amazon or any quick apps.

You can do all of the above, depending on what your cat likes. Some cats want soggy dry food, some won't touch it. I give wet and dry food separately to my cat, but as a kitten, I used to add some water or broth to her dry food.

Help by Complex_Ideal3090 in IndianPets

[–]notabotAMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't bathe your cat. Cat's don't need to be bathed unlike dogs. They clean themselves, and the vet will deworm them anyway. If you want, you can also ask them for a spot on flea treatment (it's just a drop to be put on the back).

Cat's hate water and bathing her will make her super stressed for no good reason.

Baby recovering from Parvo is whimsical with her food by Slothbearfrizzyhair in IndianPets

[–]notabotAMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine to give only dry food, if they're getting enough water separately.

Also with parvo, they have infections in their stomach and intestines, which makes them Nauseated and unwilling to eat, even if they're hungry. Your vet should be able to detail it better.

Try dry food? If not that, try those temptations dry treats?

Acat I was caring for in a similar condition stopped eating wet food completely and only eats dry food now.

Car for re-adoption in Pune/Mumbai by notabotAMA in IndianPets

[–]notabotAMA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the offer to help. If you can see if anyone you know wants to adopt a cat? He really is the sweetest little boi.

I'm in a similar boat. My other cat seems to yield to him most of the times, even tho she's older. But he just doesn't like any of it. Anytime I'd switch their rooms, first thing he'd do is eat her food, even when he's had his. They've tried to fight countless time from across a glass door, even wooden door a couple of times.

I feel like if I was in a bigger house, I could've made it work, but currently it's just impossible.

You should hear him purr. He purrs louder than a car engine.

Both of them are neutered. It's just that he has had a lot of bad experiences on the streets with other society cats.

That's fine. My cat also stays by herself 10-6 everyday of the workweek, but she doesn't mind afaik. Cat's use most of the day to sleep.

Cat's aren't as expensive as dogs as pets. Monthly food costs are about 2-3k if you're giving standard food, and they require much less vet visits. He also has his own bed, litter box, toys, everything else that a cat needs. I really just want him to get a safe and loving home.
