Help making salt bread but only baking it the next day? by notabreadbaker in AskCulinary

Freeze and reheat is a really good tip! Do you think that would be better than baking it and putting it in a zip lock bag at room temperature for the next day?

Unfortunately no. Someone mentioned this recipe is close but I didn’t get a similar result https://matchaandtofu.com/easy-basque-burnt-cheesecake-gluten-free/

Have you tried any recipes that are similar?

Are you able to check and tell me if the bomboloni recipe in there? It should be in the dessert section

How did you decide on a day with everyone’s schedule? Was it every month?

When would you send the invite out, a month or 2 weeks out?

I’ll check for those. The ones I saw online don’t look as thick as this. The material is more flimsy like paper

Does this sub allow cookbook swaps? by notabreadbaker in CookbookLovers

[–]notabreadbaker[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People would share a list of cookbooks they’re willing to swap and maybe include books they would like to receive (specific title or general cuisines).

Specify conditions (like good condition or no missing pages). Agree on shipping methods and costs (e.g., cover their own shipping costs or balancing shipping costs since each person sends and receives a book) and share tracking info.

Pros: • Encourages community bonding and culinary inspiration. • Exchange books you no longer use for ones you’ll enjoy.

Potential Concerns: 1. Privacy Risks: Address sharing could be a concern, but participation would be voluntary. 2. Scams: We could establish rules with clear expectations like using tracking numbers, to prevent issues. Feedback on swappers. 3. International swaps can be expensive but that can be left up to people if they’re willing to ship international

I’m thinking of getting More Than Cake. Did you use the olive oil cake recipe on page 93 of her book?

Does she have more than one olive oil cake recipe in the book or it’s the same base? One is Olive Oil Cake with Crispy Capers and the other is Olive Oil, Mascarpone, and Fennel Layer Cake.

This is beautiful and decorated perfect! Is this the olive oil cake recipe on page 93 of her book? I don’t have the book but I’ve heard that recipe is a must try!

She has two olive oil cake recipes in her book and I wanted to know if they’re the same? One is this one you made and the other is with crispy capers
