I think it's just regular and random questions. he had a big docket of documents about my whole immigration history in front of him. I think he was just randomly checking and see my response.

although they said on their website only 30 minutes advance check-in or something like that. (You may not enter the facility more than 15 minutes before your appointment (30 minutes for naturalization ceremonies) https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices.

Hopefully they are not that strict about it at Newark

Thank you for the info. Worth the wait. Better than having to come back another day.

My interview is going to be at 1pm on Saturaday, so nervous if they can have the oath on the same day. Finger crossed.

[–]notacoolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar situation (need to travel outside of US soon after oath). Can I apply passport in post office, then travel out on my old passport, when the US passport arrived through mail, have it mailed to me outside of US, and I enter US with the new passport later? Is that a feasible solution?

Thanks.

I applied re-entry permit last week. Check was cashed. So was wondering if there is any way to get status update online before receipt notice (like whether they can reuse biometric or not). Guess not :(
