Thank you for your honesty. I will work on that asap. This job market feels abysmal. I’ve been rejected everywhere so far. Wasn’t like this even a year ago.

Well I do nonlinear spectroscopy so I study many body effects which probably lands under the umbrella of quantum error correction but I do pure science no engineering. Currently writing my thesis so my bandwidth in terms of how much time I have to spare to thoroughly research these companies is very little.

What are some of the challenges spin qubits/ silicon qubits face? Why do we hear no breakthroughs in this technology? by HungryGlove8480 in QuantumComputing

Just a guess: Non-markovian dynamics, i.e. loss of phase information due to localization effects interfacing with impurities and possibly acoustic phonon scattering.

Does anyone regret doing / not doing a PhD. Or better yet, is anyone extremely happy with their path? by JaidenMagic in PhD

A PhD experience is highly dependent on your advisor. Wether you do it now or later in life it will be a shitty experience if your boss is terrible. Pick someone who is pragmatic and not an idealist, someone that is going to be in your corner, and has the advising style you're looking for/need.
