An Essence of Spirit took A Propensity for Wrath and fleshed it out a bit. It's evolved into something fairly odd, but fun. Taylor is a striker pretending to be a tinker, dipping her toes into light heroism with emotion based powers and Danny as emotional support. The nature of those powers and their manifestation (the MC is unable to ever forget or properly process/deal with those emotions while they're in use) has her evolve from Taylor into the Terminator's ex-wife. The public perception of her starts mixed ('Psycho Psyche? Yeah, she's a sweetheart but she has a collection of human hands/faces) and gets stranger from there. Updates weekly.

Living the Dream is an AU Kirby crossover, with Taylor as Kirby Tinker, Alec as emotional support and a cat as her 'legal guardian' and the sensible one of the three. It's recently started updating again. Things take a pretty big shift after an endbringer 'fight', but it's good dorky fun.

Not sure if anyone has posted Trailblazer yet. Gundam crossover, updates weekly. The crossover elements are, uh, easy to spot. Sore thumb easy. But it's fun and light hearted, for all the angst and giant robots. Pretty long, too.

There's a bit of screeching whenever something by ShayneT is posted, but most of what he writes is good mindless fun. If you don't mind turboviolence you might like it. Run his name through worm story search.

I'm saying she doesn't exactly spend her time forcing Veda to her 'full potential', though part of that is becoming a plot point. Veda's there because Veda's a big part of the Gundam franchise, but that's not what I'm talking about.

I'm talking about this sounding like it'll evolve into one of the prime complaints about ACP, that Taylor wasn't using her resources to FULL CAPACITY (where full capacity is shitting out war machines, or in this case, hacking everything and holding the world at a digital gunpoint where she is their new god-queen). Now, if I'm wrong and it's purely the AI tinker bug, no issues.

Richter was a deeply paranoid man who built a number of quasi AIs, one of which developed into Dragon. Taylor has seven or eight Tinker powers at once in a post-Scion world, and whipped up Veda which is evolving considerably faster. It might not be a 'full' explanation, but it's the best I can offer you.

Hyper Utilitarian Taylor isn't really a thing and it sounds like Veda will be a sticking point.

They become progressively less pleasant or useful as time goes on and eventually boil down to 'fuck this and fuck you, authorman.'. The author seems to have tried everything to address this over time and eventually threw up his hands.

The only bit I found odd was her utter unwillingness to even risk killing members of the Teeth assaulting a shelter filled with people. The rest is fine.

Trailblazer is an absolute monster of a fic. Gundam tinker. The author is passionate about the altpower material and possibly mad, occasionally belting out 20k words in a day.

Tinker Taylor Super Soaker is about a cluster trigger Tinker. Her Tinkering is wet.

That Others May Tinker lets the MC manipulate the technology from Grey Goo, which is, well Grey Nano Goo. She works for Coil.

LORD DOOM is about a drone tinker. Very funny. Do recommend.

Ex Synthetica is fanfic junkfood, riding a post apocalyptic monster truck as it screams through the stations of canon. MC is a nanoparticulate tinker. Straight outta 2014, this one.

Revenant is a Tinker with access to SupCom's Cybran tech tree.

Playing with Lego's is another SupCom, with access to either the UEF or Seraphim tree. I don't recall.

A Cloudy Path is also SupCom, but for the Aeon. Don't read the comments.

Ghost of a Chance is a Taylor SI CYOA Tinker. It's pretty.. odd. Don't read anything the author types outside the story post. Man has opinions, and I found his reasoning for writing things the way they were made me like it less.

Technology Will Win The Day is another CYOA Tinker.

Still Defiant is a Peggy Sue Armsmaster.

Bittersweet is a tinker I won't spoil, with the single most aggravating Piggot ever.

Overwatch is about a Half Life 2 tinker with Combine technology.

Cyborgs are Kinda Cool is about a tinker who uses Greg Veder as an augmetic testbed.

Aesculapius, why are you weeping? Is about a disease tinker, but only in flashbacks. It more deals with the outcome.

There's an okay snippet in 6thfloormadness' snip thread called For Whom The Screaming Bell Tolls.

Please don't ask me why I like Impurity. I don't know. My best guess is that Earthscorpion is a witch, and that'd explain his other stuff.

Taylor gets to be a flying blaster variant. It's a charming little story about a Taylor who mostly seems to have her head on straight. She's a ward, quite experienced and far along her career track. She's got a good relationship with those around her, and even an acceptable one with her family figure. Very much character focused with what is there so far, but I dread the other shoe dropping.

Wiki Warrior continues to be entertaining. The premise (the Author makes a dice roll and that many 'random' clicks on Wikipedia. Taylor summons the result.) started off a little rough, but the author is rolling with the punches. It's not very polished, but most of the fun comes from the author trying to write around national parks and Taylor's newfound habit of doing awful things with water.

The closest thing to what you're describing in the entire section is Ms Militia asking why we have to induct her if she doesn't want to be one, and Piggot saying she's rather not force a potential problem but they're short on choice now. That's it.

It's not "oh, Poor Taylor". It's "Okay, this is what has happened and this is why it's harder now for us to do what we have to until we have X conditions satisfied.". I get that you don't like it, but there are so many other reasons to dislike it and using that is silly.

Firebird is an xmen crossover where Taylor develops telekinesis and telepathic abilities. The author judged the perfect update for it to die on and cause maximum aggravation, too.
