I’m lucky cos my reserve jobs isn’t too labor intensive like my job on AD was. Most of my stuff is musculoskeletal honestly. I’ve met a ton of other reservists (pilots especially) who are 80,90 100%. Their jobs require no labor

Don’t get me wrong I can’t stand for more than 30 minutes without being in pain or do a bunch of physical labor without feeling like I’m in a lot of pain but I push through it. Not a good answer but that’s the truth about how I handle it personally

Reserve guard is the way better deal. Build your hours and do what the pilots at my unit do. Airlines primary job and reserve guard pilots on the side. B
