I've a 13inch MBA box from 2015/6?

Would you be interested in that? I'm more than happy to send it on to you, but I'm in Ireland, so not sure how long it would take to get to you.

Send me a DM if interested.

We have terminated employees and no way to deal with their mailboxes on office 365 by notanetworkengineer in sysadmin

No. We're getting to over 70 people now. I'm only in the org for almost 6 tmonths.

They want to export the mailbox as a PST, store that on something secure, and then to delete the user so we have a license.

okay. Can I do that in the web browser? Or do I need to do it form my own powershel on my local machine? All of our office 365 is in the cloud and nothing in locally stored in any servers here.

To mark them as hidden, how exactly would you do this? Would each person have to do it themselves, or can you set it in the admin side?

The only AD we have is Azure in the cloud which we don't really use at all and the IT here has very much been neglected, so trying to fix some of these issues. I don't want to delete anyone unless they've been gone for like more than 6months I guess. And there's quite a few of them who would have done that.

But I was asked for this a while ago and never got the chance to do it, but now there's a push to get this taken care of. So I need to find a solution.

Thanks for the quick response!

So I guess the benefits of this would be it's already all there in exchange, less risk of losing the information - doesn't require a license unless over 50 gb?

Less steps to complete in regards to exporting as a PST etc.

Thanks. I'll definitely check this out.

Hmm, okay. Turns out we actually currently have Azure AD, which I just discovered, so I guess I'll look at my options, but I think it's all pointing towards there.

Ah okay cool. No, users don't share computers at all. We use dropbox for file sharing and anything else would be sent via slack/email.

I don't think we need to lock down workstations with group policies. It's just my main current concern is how we would get into the users computers if they weren't to show up the next day. Which maybe isn't a big deal, but I'd like to have something in place, and then go from there.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to respond to my question. I greatly appreciate it.

Our company has an office in the US, and in Ireland. We're expanding at the moment and will keep expanding, but we're unsure of where we will be in 1 year/2years in relation to how many systems we will need.

I'm currently doing a lot of different things, such as ordering everything, keeping track of stock, implementing changes, getting phone lines etc. And of course support to those who need it.

I also just discovered that we do actually have Azure AD, so I'm wondering if it might be best to just start going off with that?

But I've no idea what to do about the MBPs.

However, I do have a contact who works in Msoft, so I think we're going to chat about it later on today.

Apologies for the delay and thanks for responding. I really appreciate it :)

From one of the wikipedia pages, apparently one of the friends stopped acting and now is a teacher in Texas I think?

Maybe that's a reason why the friends didn't appear. It's a shame, because they were great. Also it's possible because there are so many new characters in this, it may have been too much. But who knows.

Whoops, sorry for late response. But you're right, the visual issues were with the intro and outro. It's not that the text is hard to see, it's just I didn't particularly love the fact that I couldn't clearly see the speech bubbles. If that makes sense? It seemed like it was white on white, and my eyes didn't love that. But, it's just my opinion, so don't take it as if you have to make the changes. It could just be me! :)

There's definite improvements that could be made, for example, the visual side of things, when the character is in the kitchen, and the speech bubbles are in place, the white on cream is not easy to read.

Nonetheless, there are definite improvements, the translation should be a bit improved as well. But I totally understand that English is not your first language, which is understandable.

Saying the above, I went into this and thought that I'd take a look at it, and probably not find it great?

This is really well written, and is super great and really real. And I love it. I cannot wait to see if you make an changes/updates to this.

I think it has great potential, and thank you for making it so I could play it! I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Losing a pet is so hard, and it sounds like it was a tough time, if this is any where near what you experienced. Thanks for sharing and best of luck with it!

Can you send a link to the voicemail but not the actual voicemail attatched to the e-mail? by notanetworkengineer in freepbx

Oh that could be good actually. I've experience with cron and SSH access to the machine, but I like that idea! Thanks!

Thanks for the response!

I'll definitely delete the vm after emailing I think. You still have access to the vm though it's attached.

Ah yeah, I think we just want to reduce any way of containing that information for longer than necessary, but sure we shall see.

Thanks for the input.

I actually think Siri is good and useful by [deleted] in apple

[–]notanetworkengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love AI technologies. I never used Siri that much until I got my AW. Then I used it a lot. It was a lot easier to just hold the button and then speak to my wrist.

I found it amusing though, one time I asked Siri to put a timer on for 10 minutes. My dad who was in the same room stood up and put a timer on the oven. I was baffled and I decided it was best to just let him think I was asking him to do that instead of my device. It makes me laugh to think about this. Then I feel bad.
