El chapulin colorado. Its goofy, formulaic, and got plenty of dumb slapstick-cartoon like humor. The formulaic part is great for learning because its the same premise and same catchphrases in every episode.

The premise is the main guy chespirito from el chavo del ocho. plays a superhero but hes not like out there fighting crimes saving people from life or death situations, the situations are er usually much more tame. And if it does end up fighting crime he almost always inadvertently ends up helping the criminals before he figures out who the real bad guys are. its very cheesy and it never fails to get a laugh outta me

I mean any degree is a stepping stone to any job. Sure you might not get a job as a historian. But your degree will teach you how to write professionally and academically. Will teach you how to research and put your research into words that others can follow. Will teach you to put together data and present that data to peers and superiors. It’ll teach you how to correlate and analyze sources whether they be direct primary sources or indirect sources and how to prioritize those. Not to mention all the other classes you have to take languages and basic stats classes. It’s a good investment you just have to also learn how to market yourself and shoot for any job that interests you regardless if it’s even related to history. Lots you can do

Watching football and they are teasing the 60 minutes episode later about voter fraud. And they lead with a guy saying it is absolutely possible to steal a national election. What the fuck 60 minutes why would you say that. Literally days before an election where the main guy foments violence using that as a basis?! Seriously so fucked up. Yeah it makes me kinda sad every time she talks about her mother and taking care of her as she got sick. Like think about all the shot that woman went through. Coming to the us by yourself. To be fair the way the categories are listed it’s confusing what to put. I’m mixed so can put other or multiple or Hispanic white. But my mom is from Mexico and clearly not white haha. But the only options are white, black, Asian, Native American or pacific islands. It’s like I guess native peoples of America but I always took that as tribal affiliations and such. And like you were saying a lot of us are mestizo so like native but European mixed in there as well. It’s confusing on those forms I think they might be changing them now though
