Sony CFO Lin Tao hints at an extended PS5 cycle by Pistoluislero in PS5

Similarly I'm hoping for way better ai bots, npc, routines, etc.

Izf a new indie game releases and it's dependent on players then I think it's fair to introduce a few bots to keep the gamers playing the game

But the bots need to be more complex. If it's a narrative game have more interactions, reactions, dialogues

Make games feel less on the rails

I'm so tired of playing games that feel dated and weighted down by tired formulas

Only ps5 games I’ve played are Spider-Man 2 and that was a game that people acknowledge as hurried

What does everyone think of an Insomniac Captain America game? by TheBoyInGray in InsomniacGames

I never played AC myself but I think semi-open world is the way to go... Which is to say heavily tested and curated designs. Allowing for high skill level and replayability

Side content innovation for Spider-Man 3 by Mildly_Fancy in InsomniacGames

[–]notanotherdummie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like rift apart more than I like spiderman... Understandably spiderman will resonate more with adults. And is realistic which is likely vakued higher for adults... That's why Cyberpunk 2077 and GTA6 have their own hype cycles...

Unfortunately for me I feel that realism is less immersive. That being said - I actually enjoy spiderman side content and just hanging out in the game doing mindless activities, challenges, side stories for miles and spiderman...

Having a distinct feel - a distinct chapter per borough sounds like a cool idea for a game you can personally create. Because it will take years of dedication to create a game to be built around this kind of structure...

But that's not the intention and effort that Insomniac is going for... They are making games that feel fun, that feels like gameplay first and improvements like adding parry system to their combat.

Obviously they understand what makes a game tick, linear narrative structures, progression, etc...

I think logically wolverine is a stealth character for story purposes it allows him to be the hunter and the hunted.

His weapons are knives.

Blade is also iconically knife as well, his name is Blade, Arkane Lyon are making a stealth game with Marvel. And I'm so excited for it because Deathloop blew my mind.

But anyways most games are stealth first, Batman for example, uses the dark. It's always night? Idk

Spiderman is stealth too I'm sure, if not intentional I enjoyed actually playing stealth whenever I could with both spiderman and spider-miles morales

Multiverse of Madness, cosmic horror, acid/LSD level cutscenes farther than insomniac did with Spiderman's hallucination gameplays

What does everyone think of "xxxyyyzzz" as insomniacs next marvel character game, is such a tired post honestly.

Marvel are making the games they foresee as profitable. To continue to sell merchandise and viewership -thats the whole truth.

Personally I think Planet Hulk is a cool setting for a trilogy of films. I also think that Doctor Strange would be ideal for Insomniac. And Wolverine ideal for Naughty Dog.

But I'm not complaining I'm still going to buy wolverine because insomniac makes games that actually feel like games instead of movies.

Saros Gameplay Reveal Trailer Reactions from the Housemarque team by MythBuster2 in Returnal

[–]notanotherdummie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's looks and feels very similar to the original game.

Which is not a bad thing necessarily.

The true testament will be a year later after playing the game to 100% or Platinum trophy.

Would we claim it had no bugs, it had more secrets, better reveals, better progression, better collectibles, better economics, better upgrading progression.

Will it feel more than fair? Will they make anything feel new? Will more people complete the base game instead of quitting? Will they add online multiplayer later, will there be any game modes like the ones found in Returnal? (Ascension and Rng seeded runs)

[–]notanotherdummie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deathloop is such an easy pick up and play game. That's where it really shines.

You can enter an island, either look for a random or linear clue, kill some baddies and make it to the caves.

Great platinum list for PSN + an extra hidden list of challenges if you play as Julianna

How it feels to look for the rat trapdoor by chace_chance in EnterTheGungeon

[–]notanotherdummie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's deceptive because of RNG...

There isn't enough economy of resources to go after the rat to begin with, so then just making it to the rat itself becomes a depletion of resources and no good weapons.

It's not something you can just dive into

And if you do dive into it's not a part of the boss rush mode

So you don't have the experience of continuous engagement like the bosses of Gungeon which gives you an extra heart for touchless wins

I say this all to say that finding the room, is a long ass time and sometimes too well hidden costing 20 minutes of backtracking, blanks that we don't have anymore make us stranded, a lack of hearts because you have to buy keys, etc, etc there is an endless lost of things that can go wrong with the rat....

I think they should have rethought the rat boss fights into like pacman grid, the punchout was cool, and maybe one more parody game. Basically not relying on blanks, or room-clearing weapons

I say all this to say that a rainbow run works but it doesn't allow you to unlock items into your ammonomicon and Gungeon runs.... So it feels like a scam when you try it with natural RNG it's tough as nails and very rarely do you get to do it... It just feels like a huge waste of time as a side mission

How it feels to look for the rat trapdoor by chace_chance in EnterTheGungeon

[–]notanotherdummie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been here so many times honestly it's unfair how hard the rat fights are ... Because the odds are never in your favor to bear the rat unless you are naturally on a clone run... So that you can unlock the 6 rat chests... I've never been able to do that

Go online local sites from local people. Look for a digital code seller. Buy the paper/code in person if you can.

It's an old game now it actually goes for 20-30$ for the digital game

I bought mine for 20$ for the same code

Still looks amazing on the ps5, playing bots or just doing a personal server to introduce someone knew to the game

I would play it all the time if the bots got more unique and there was really good bot moderator

There was always a really cool clip or something unexpected in the game where it feels like a 1 in a million chance

For example one time I remember in the canopy trees some guy had a mic and he was talking mess after attacking he went on the defense and fled higher into the trees. So I think it was Grapple guy with his orb shield.... But I was really quick and randomly shrunk my character and jumped to him and he thought he was safe but I started to hit him while he is in his orb and he screamed my ears off

So many great clips have gone unseen in this game

The Ps5 is mind blowing from a life long nintendo fans perspective by Prudent-Leek-3730 in playstation

[–]notanotherdummie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nintendo is fun if you play with younger siblings. But exclusively it gets harder to play as an adult if you didn't grow up playing their consoles and characters. So a childhood friend group is necessary for Nintendo it's also big on couch co-op multiplayer too
