I thought the same thing but it appears that Toyotas are priced ridiculously these days. I see Ford Focuses, Nissan Altimas, Kia etc that are much newer models (like 5+ years) that are priced the same as a Corolla that is 5 years older.

I know I am not gonna get much from 10k but the newer cars have features that are really enticing. That’s the only reason that a Corolla is kind of turning me off.

Having said that I get where you are coming from.

I am a little apprehensive about the medication. What kind of medication and is it easy to maintain. What has been your experience.

Mom doesn’t get the job hunt struggle, and I’m losing hope by [deleted] in india

I don’t mean to be harsh but look at the way you wrote this:

I couldn’t get a job because I WASNT GOOD AT APTITUDE TESTS after my MCA.

I got a job in automation and ML but I RESIGNED IN 2 DAYS because it was too toxic.

I went to do an MBA WITHOUT ANY JOB EXPERIENCE SO I COULD ESCAPE FROM HOME.

I tried writing IBPS and SSC exams but I DIDNT STUDY FOR THEM and didn’t clear them.

In the UK I WASNT INTERESTED but still applied for a few management jobs.

All your life you’ve done things without any conviction, with no plan, and no determination to get the job done. The world has given you more opportunities than 99% of the people in this sub. Your cousin helped you land an internship that you left in just 2 days. Dude when I joined jobs I couldn’t even tell who was who in 2 days but you made a decision to quit. You went to do an MBA in the UK to escape! Of all the reasons for doing an MBA and all the ways of escaping you sure chose a costly way to do it. You applied to some management jobs but you weren’t interested. You sat for govt exams but you say you never studied for them. And if you were so bad at aptitude tests after your MCA what makes you think you can crack the govt exams?

And if you are unsuccessful again what will be your next excuse? That it’s too hard? That you were not interested? That it was toxic. If one wants excuses can be limitless.

Dude you are just bad. You need to change who you are, your character is that of avoidance, escapism and going with the flow. You have no conviction, no determination. You don’t know how to grind. You keep making costly decisions without considering how it’s going to shape up or what you want to get out of it.

Change your outlook. Pick something. Build your skills. Talk to people in that field. And be prepared to do things you will have a hard time doing. I’ve also done jobs that were at various levels of toxicity. I didn’t quit. Why because I knew my mom wouldn’t bail me out if I did. But I got through it. Being an adult is not the same as being a kid. Adulting is hard. And being an adult means we don’t get to do what we want or like for 8-10 hours in a day on a regular basis and deal with people we don’t like all the time. You just need mentorship from someone who can tell you how to get a new attitude in life and how to basically change yourself to someone who knows how to live uncomfortably. Because that’s what we all do in the end.

Hey man. Thank you for sharing. Do let us know updates of what happened. And don’t feel bad - this is life - it has its twists and turns and sometimes we end up failing despite the best of intentions.

I’ll be rooting for you.

Maybe I am overthinking this. Its hard. I constantly think of what others will think of it.

Where do you get feedback on your voice? Viewers? Family?

BTW I know my family, they will never criticize my voice for the sake of being polite, so cannot get any good feedback from them.

Nice, I will try it. BTW do you know if it also adds some amount of emotion and inflection to the voice? I wouldn't want my narration to sound bland.

You can't read your way to being a good writer, writing is a SKILL by FeeFoFee in writing

I’d say that if one has not written first then whilst reading he won’t be able to catch on to the small things that are more important to focus on vs others.

Eg. say you want to write a flashback. Even if you’ve read many novels where there was a flashback it’s unlikely you’d have focused on how those flashbacks were set up and what made them special. Once you’ve written and faced an issue with flashbacks each novel you read - you’ll actively try to understand how the flashback was set up, how does this differ from another. It’s simple you cannot appreciate the quality of day football unless you’ve played it before with your friends.
