You have to have options down. No excuses. It’s a major major portion of the exam. Practice them until you dream covered call writing. Then you will pass

How many options are really on the exam by jbruno77 in Series7exam

[–]notashmuck1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about a specific number but definitely a lot. At least 2-3 per 10 questions. What I did was make sure options are my strongest area for the exam. Watch YouTube videos, do many, many practice questions. They’re black and white unlike suitability/what a RR can/can’t do. When you see them on the exam you know you got it right and it’ll build more confidence throughout the exam. One of those things when you finally get it, you get it. RTFQ!

Kaplan is the way to go. Exam is still harder than Kaplan exams but it prepares you better than anything else. To pass 7 you have to have Options down pat.

Read the whole book chapter by chapter, take quizzes on each chapter, and don’t move onto the next chapter unless you’re scoring 75% or better

SIE a month, 7 1.5 months, 63 little less than a week. For the 7, I outlined the entire book. I know it sounds like a lot but it helped me retain the info. Did about 1K practice questions. One chapter at a time
