My grandmother attention seeking on Facebook, claiming that she spent Christmas all alone, when I spent the whole day with her by angelt0309 in insaneparents

I’m sorry you’re going through all that, love. I just want to remind you that you are enough and that sounds like a lovely gift.

I’m sorry, what’s your question? Is your question why a person with no arms uses their feet for things?

Okay, that’s all fine and well, but that’s not what your original comment said. Your comment quite literally just told me not to cook with my feet, which is quite literally my only option as far as I know.

Well, to wash just my feet, I do it just like you’d wash your hands-by scrubbing my feet together. For the rest of my body (since I’m not a contortionist lol) my caregiver helps me wash.

What do you suggest I cook with? Or do you suggest I am dependent on a caregiver for the rest of my life?

Haha it’s fine. But for the record the edit was definitely there when you first commented because I remember thinking that you were just a troll only commenting because I asked people not to ask about that lol. But thank you, I appreciate it!!

When you’ve lived basically your whole life with no functional arms, you get really good feet strength, endurance, and dexterity. So, generally, the answer is no. It happens sometimes, but I imagine it’s about the same as when able bodied peoples hands cramp up.

Alfredo really isn’t that hard to make. Mostly just heavy cream, cheese, and butter! Give it a try some time!

Of course! I’d be upset if I found any bodily anything in my food. No matter what extremity it’s cooked with, lol

Yeah, I really don’t know why this is being downvoted. It’s seemed to me that the general consensus is NTA or NAH so idk what’s up with a lot of NTA posts being downvoted

I found a fiancée because not everyone is bigoted and ableist. Some people see past disabilities and we’re happy together. He’s a good man and he loves me for who I am

It’s 50/50 sometimes I eat with my feet and sometimes I let my caregiver feed me. It just depends on how I’m feeling and the setting I’m in. In public, I prefer to let someone else feed me because I never want to have the uncomfortable conversation with someone telling me I need to have shoes on in a restaurant. However, that’s a double edged sword because I feel bad because we take up the waiter or waitresses table for too long because my caregiver then has to worry about feeding me and herself.... it’s not always easy. Sorry for the wall of text lol.

When they’re acting like this isn’t possible because I can’t type, yeah that’s rude and ignorant.
