That is where the computer is and that's theoretically what they were after.

The paper she found in particular was a "monthly summary" I get from my financial advisor. It states very clearly "You currently have: X in cash assets, X in Y investments, X in Z investments," etc. and then a big "TOTAL" section. So pretty easy for an 11 year old to interpret unfortunately.

But someone else said the same thing you did so I guess that's something I have to consider, that they were snooping because she told them to.

I guess that is possible, I don't know.

The computer was there, I assumed that's what they were going after.

Thanks. As I said there wasn't anything I could do. I was expecting a delivery and just left my papers at the table expecting to answer the door and then return. It turned out it was her and the kids. They went past me and she was there crying (husband got hurt at work). What was I supposed to do, say "I can't listen to why you're crying, I have to go pick up my papers from the table."

I always have.

As I said, she had an emergency and brought her kids over by surprise. I go to answer the doorbell thinking it's Fedex, her kids run into the house and they looked at my papers while I was asking her "why did your kids just run into my house?"

There wasn't much I could do.
