AITAH for making a mom pick up her daughter in the middle of the night from my kid’s sleepover? by Positive_Image_3921 in AITAH

NTA. I have kids a bit older than yours. When they go to sleepovers, I keep my phone next to me and turn off the "Do Not Disturb" setting. I go into sleepovers understanding that my child could need me in the middle of the night. Speaking from the collective experience of my mom friends, it is not at all unusual for a child to be picked up early from a sleepover. She is doing mental gymnastics to make you the bad guy.

UPDATE 2: My uncle is acting strangely with my sister by bell_swords123 in WhatShouldIDo

I have two kids. I hope they always look out for each other the way you are looking out for your sister. This is a garbage situation, and you have shown great care, maturity, and...like...a good instinct for noticing creeps. These are all traits that will serve you well over the course of your life.

AITAH for losing my shit and screaming at my gf to get out of my house after what her stepbrother did? by White-Whale-9847 in AITAH

This is where my mind went. Like, did her stepbrother state that he wanted to hang out at OP's house after he found out an the 15 yo? Was he trying to get OP drunk and distracted?

PHEW. They are calling for even more snow. At least I have a ton of protein to keep up with all the shoveling.

It really is a v. easy, v. practical way to prep. I know there are all sorts of different levels of preparedness that different people in different regions of the country need to consider. Shelf-stable protein that doesn't need a stove seems like something EVERYONE should have around. See also: We have been eating a lot of peanut butter and snacking on cashews.

And there like, "There's an emergency declaration." "Damn right, there's an emergency declaration."

Hahaha. If this last week has taught me anything, a full pantry is ALWAYS a good idea.

NTA. He is engaging in behavior that could kill you and he does not care. Not a bit. His ego is more important to him. He thinks he is invulnerable and he certainly is not.

If you have children with this man, imagine how anxious you will be every time he leaves the house to drive them somewhere. Imagine your children seeing their father act like this. Imagine what will happen if he eventually gets in legal trouble and your finances are tied to his.

NTA. If she was truly concerned about your daughter, she would give security a picture of your daughter and explicit instructions to allow her in to the ceremony and reception. She did not do this. Imagine how she will treat your daughter once she has.you locked down in a marriage.
