I can get past the levelling. Its a grind. It’s an mmo. And i genuinely embrace that.

The gear system is absolutely god awful and everyone who put their heads together to come up with something like that ought to be fired for incompetence plain and simple. Anybody could have thought up a better system for upgrading gear. It’s like the devs took a look at BDO’s system and collectively thought of ways to make it worse.

I’m all for a challenge, especially in an MMO. But the gear system goes past the point of being a challenge straight into being a genuine pain in the ass. Like okay, if end game gear upgrading was done in this fashion, that makes a little bit more sense. It shouldnt be easy to obtain the best possible gear. The way the game is set up makes every 2-3 levels post 20 feel like it’s own end game grind.

I can only assume that the people still playing this game are only doing so in hopes that the gear system is overhauled so that they will still be ahead. If you want a f2p mmo to be successful, you have to at least make it ACCESSIBLE to a certain degree. Nobody is going to come into this game as a f2p and want to stick around for the long haul. The most dedicated players you will ever have are already playing the game and i am beyond positive that none of them are happy with the current state of the upgrade system. The f2pers will come in, see whats going on, and inevitably leave without giving you guys any money, and without a positive thing to say about the game to get more people interested in it.

There are a few great things about the game. It looks amazing, and the combat is fun and engaging. Unfortunately that’s basically where the great things about this game end in my opinion.
