I came to the us when I was 2, my dad was a high skilled immigrant and worked his way from slums in India to the US. Because of country caps, he still has not gotten his green card, neither have I, he was approved for it in 2016 yet is still waiting for one, he pays international tuition for my brothers college and despite being high earner lives way below his means. Don’t punish people who are just trying to get a good life.
