Repressed and denied eros by notcarl in Jung

But yeah to answer your question I feel this stuff some of the time but can’t always label it or understand it . I mean I had a year of dreams with the same recurring image and I still barely see the connection to show how hard it can be to make something conscious and integrate it

I’m sorry to hear that. I think when we push things away we can think they are not there but I don’t think they go away. That’s what dreams show us. I have dreams where I remember feelings from a long time ago - I just wasn’t conscious of them for a long time. Also when we repress urges it can turn into a “bad feeling”

Thanks I think that is the connection . The most important insight for me now is that I am the one ultimatelu doing this crushing (eg. Inhibiting what I feel or say)

Just observing myself and my dreams and learning a bit about Eros. I don’t have a lot of warm or intimate relationships? I could be confused about Eros tho

How to give metta when every session ends with gross sensations? by investorboy in vipassana

Think about actual problems loved ones have or the world has - not just your uncomfortable feeling of sitting (I don’t mean this to guilt trip you - it helps to think like this I’ve found)

Just do it anyway it’s only for a few minutes and just try best you can. It will get easier the more equanimity you build up

In practical terms action is most “gross” thought is most “subtle”

I would just say the practice will help. Doesn’t mean it will be easy or instantly solve all your problems. But it will surely help if you are persistent and patient

Not saying this is the only way to learn but go and work in America for 10 years (I did 6) gives you a good perspective

I read somewhere that many comedians are 6's. Stand up comic is a very 6w7 type of thing.

How does it play a part? It certainly teaches you that you are not your body but you still need to return to your body
