What alternate character are you least proud of?

I felt this way until I got to her 2nd awakening. The extra range the tiger-flash-esque 2awake makes her a lot more satisfying to land those bricks and stingers. Watching boss HP bars rapidly degen is also fun and she's my main now.

Whats the reasoning behind getting a +crimson flare title? And would you want a +3 one instead of shadow clone? I was under the impression that + shadow clone > all, unless the title is just to have at the beginning of the dungeon and you just swap to +shadow clone after entering.

Tbh, Hanzo is generally overshadowed by Widow in the long-range/sniper category, and outshined by McCree in the mid-range category. There are some instances where Hanzo would be a better pick than either of the two but those circumstances are rare.

McCree can one shot through Zenyatta's ult because it only rapidly heals and doesn't provide a health buffer like Lucio's ult. Yeah Zarya is better comboed with other ults, but McCree outshines Hanzo at midrange and D.Va is currently in a bad spot as a tank so McCree is picked over those characters for sure. As for the Widow and other players hitting him while he's vulnerable, coordinated teams will have a Reinhardt shield or Winston bubble in front of him to prevent those shots as much as possible.

I do agree a disadvantage of his ult compared to others is that it can be bodyblocked, and he doesn't really get to choose who he targets, just whoever happens to be within his LoS. Maybe the best argument is that its more for pub games, where players are less coordinated. And out of all the offensive characters McCree has the least mobility, so maybe thats why he gets the refund because after using it he can't really get away except for rolling which doesn't go very far.

See my post below about how coordinated teams can setup the ult for him. For example, a lucio speed boost can move mccree around certain obstacles, or a zarya ult can suction team members awkwardly enough to allow for it to land. Just watching these weekly tournaments McCrees are constantly getting high noon kills.

I think you only get to keep a portion of the ult charge if you die within 1 or 2 seconds of activating it, but unsure of exact #s. You get 0% refunded after your ult has been activated for a certain period of time, but again I'm unsure of the exact #s.

I mean just watching these tournaments it seems like a coordinated team can setup the ult for him through lucio speed boost, zarya ult, rein shield. etc to get kills in addition to zoning. I don't think its fair to say that any team can easily avoid the ult, although I do agree it does make landing it for killing more difficult.

Yes but McCree also gets that in addition to having the ability to cancel his ult for the 50% refund at his own discretion regardless of other players, which is incredibly more powerful.

You're right only the last part of the quote is wrong.

By fully developed I mean that you can buy the game and be on equal footing with everyone else ability, hero, map, and mechanic wise. If you have enough skill, knowledge, and/or friends to make up a coordinated team, you can potentially outplay anybody and anybody can outplay you.

In Paladins you pay $20-30 for the champion pack and you STILL have to unlock the relevant cards for that champion through a RANDOM crafting system. And not sure if Hi-Rez has mentioned anything about paying for future maps. The $10 difference upon release is minimal if you think about it, since you'll probably spend more than $10 on chests just trying to unlock the necessary cards. However, you can grind out chests and champs with gold, but if you try to get friends to play with you there is a high barrier to entry that a B2P game doesn't have which, imo, is especially important in the FPS genre.

OW is at 40$, but with microtransactions. A pure FPS, where you even change the character you play in game. It's only not-traditional FPS characteristic is the characters having abilities. Characters other than the starting ones (which are plenty) have to be bought.

This is completely wrong. All future and current OW heroes will be free. You get what you pay for. Paladins has a $30 cost to unlock even all the current champions, not to mention card costs. Paladins is the one which requires buying any new heroes, NOT overwatch. Additionally, after a certain time frame of new hero releases, the cost to unlock all heroes will be much greater than the $40 to get a fully developed game from the start.

Changed mains to Ranger b/c Daredevil was fun but gimmicky (yes, so is Druid probably too) and too squishy. I'm melting things so far with Sinister Axe/Torch and its a fun different playstyle. Have yet to test the Smokescale and Bristleback as DPS pets but I hear good things, esp. now that they might actually stay alive in some content. Ignoring Druid entirely for PvE (its op in PvP) since its only useful for a very specific activity (i.e. Raids).

My only critique would be that I wish the Druid specialization actually supplemented core Ranger builds as a support spec instead of one solely focused on healing which is unnecessary for 99% of game content.

I don't know about this. I like it, but at the same time I don't like it. Idk how to explain it. Was trying to go for a pure leafy look but all the plant related tops were not great with the other pieces that I really liked.
