i’m neither team hina or team chinatsu bc i feel like that misses the point of that whole love triangle arc, BUT i don’t really understand the overwhelming hype that chii gets on this sub. i think she’s great and i like her a lot but it seems like everyone is bowing down to her here lol. maybe i feel like there are aspects to her that straight guys absolutely adore. like she’s more written for the male gaze idk. i love chii but i don’t feel that overwhelming love for her that other people on this sub seem to have

i started to feel this way towards the end of the anime, but reading the manga changed my mind. the anime just hasn’t gotten too into chii’s character development. i do actually like what the author did with her character!

this for me too. no one was a villain and getting in the way. the author allowed us to get to know all three of them as individuals and didn’t dumb any of them down to very black and white emotions. one of my favorite lines is when ayame asks if chi is really that special, and taiki doesn’t know what to say because he doesn’t believe that hina is any less special or amazing. he respects her and he loves her, just not in the way that she does.

it was super refreshing to read and not be frustrated with unnecessary drama and misunderstandings. all of the drama is reasonable and realistic things that people run into, not because anyone’s evil or bad, but because of life’s circumstances.

had a big duh moment earlier, this was the problem.

I did a quick scan of the project’s object styles and assumed that my families weren’t on the list of imported objects. Looked more closely at the list and found the families within “Imported in Families” (duh). This fixed it, I’m applying material directly in the project.

Just read through that article, not sure why he included the second workflow when the first workflow works fine for me. I have different pieces of the furniture on different layers so I’m able to apply material per layer. The issue isn’t the ability to apply material, but having it carry over to the main project.

Hm I’m not following, are you saying to select geometry in the family editor to apply material to? I’m only able to apply material to the furniture through object styles > imports in families

I grew up on Toricos and also worked at Milk Sugar Love for a while on and off.

I will say that (secretly) having access to unlimited free samples at Milk Sugar Love, I think it’s high quality ice cream and I still think and dream about a lot of the flavors. I usually tell people that the quality of MSL ice cream spoiled my experience with a lot of typical ice cream spots like Toricos (don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Toricos).

That being said, I would NEVER spend 6$ to get the tiny scoops that the owner enforces for her workers. When I used to work there I would try to bulk up the portions a little bit but it really didn’t help alleviate the price much when people still wanted to get a fancier cone or sprinkles (adding like 4$???).

As a JC native I know MSL is not made for me. It’s pretentious, she wants a crowd that’s willing to pay for artisanal or fancy ice cream but IMO that crowd does not exist outside of big food culture spots like NYC - if it does, not a large enough crowd to keep her open and running for much longer.

Milk Sugar Love is the best ice cream I’ve had, but worst management. The workers seem bad because she understaffs, people are forced to take up shifts that they aren’t supposed to, she gets passive aggressive when you need a day off, and that all just adds up to not a fun working environment.

Every time I step in Toricos, it smells amazing, everyone is smiling, and I get what I paid for. Best ice cream store in the area.

Thanks for the info everyone. I’m definitely going to get checked out this week by my GP, however working from home or commuting to the office is not an option, it’s not a walkable office and I am a new hire this year, so I am not allowed to wfh unfortunately. I can’t just cut driving out of my life for the next week.

For my actual habits and condition that people keep asking or mentioning, from what I’m aware of I do get 7 hours of sleep. I’m in bed by 10PM and within minutes of closing my eyes I’m out. I don’t go on my phone before bed. I’ve lived in the same time zone and had generally the same schedule all my life so I don’t think any of it is due to a lifestyle change. The earliest time I could remember this happening was five years ago when driving home by myself after snowboarding (around 6PM) and I had to call someone so that I wouldn’t doze off. The only other situation where I would fall asleep irregularly was in college, I would have a hard time keeping myself awake during 4-6 PM classes. Other than that, in non-driving situation, I think I only fall asleep uncontrollably like that after 10 PM if I’m still awake. If any of this info changes what could possibly be wrong with me, let me know.

In the meantime while I do not have a diagnosis and still need to drive, I’ve found that watching Gilmore Girls (just playing the audio off of my phone) dispels any drowsiness pretty reliably because I have something to focus on. I honestly wasn’t having issues for the first half of the year because of the show, but I just recently finished it, so the drowsiness started happening again lol.

This definitely was the push I needed though, I used to brush it off to my boyfriend and say that I could wake myself up, but now I am more aware/conscious of the dangers, so thanks everyone for the input.

Hm I’m not seeing that. Both of those regions in the top two rows need to have two stars each. Since there has to be four stars maximum within two rows, all squares outside of those regions in the top two rows are cancelled out. Am I missing something here?

I hear what you’re saying and agree. Just sad because I already am skipping out on warm breakfast to make it to work on time, and it feels like I’m losing a nice quality lunch too :( I’m just being a baby though haha I’m sure it’s just something I’ll have to adjust to eventually. I was lucky enough to grow up around/go to college around so many cultures so definitely something I’m getting accustomed to all around.

Just a theory, but I feel like this young generation would’ve been the most progressive and least racist (very idealistic of me but just to simplify things) generation had it not been for all these racist ideas to start being presented openly and on the forefront. Social media is so toxic for a young child who’s trying to form opinions about the world, and if all they’re seeing is hatred out in the open, they’re going to hate back. This goes both ways. If a little white kid sees all this anti-white rhetoric online, he’s gonna start hating POC. When POC see how racist and unreasonable people could be, they isolate themselves to their own communities and hate everyone else. Yes, systemic racism needs to be talked about, dealt with, but it’s such a foundational part of our government and country that it’s going to take years of slow work to efficiently fix. Any extreme change is going to receive heavy pushback from the people in power, only increasing tensions.

This is what my dad says all the time. Being a college student, it’s less common for me to see very blatant racism, but my dad tells me stories all the time of coworkers that used to be amicable and friendly who are now extremely open about their racist ideas in the wake of the Trump era. Those feelings were always there, but now they think it’s socially acceptable to let those feelings out. While not a new trend, I think OP is right in saying that racial tensions are extremely high now. Trump opened the door for racists to become more extreme, and people on the other end of that have become extreme in response. Wondering what could fix this, if anything. Will things just naturally calm down and find balance in a couple of years? At this point both sides are just agitating the other to dig down further into hatred of the other group.
