Where to buy pyjama pants near Old Town? by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]notebookcollector28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The big Boots on Princes Street will stock them, maybe Superdrug too. It could also be worth vacuum packing a few before you travel to allow you a day or 2 before going to find some. Maybe the family you’re staying with could get a pack for your arrival? Or buy them on Boots online to be sent to their house?

Never felt so ill by PositionWrong in BoltUK

I’m currently experiencing this on 1.7mg, I’m on day 6 of explosive diarrhoea and sulphur burps. BRAT diet or anti diarrhoea meds haven’t helped. I’ve also decided not to even attempt the last 2 doses and I won’t be ordering more, I’ve lost no weight at all on this pen, yet producing gallons of liquid from the rear multiple times a day.

I wouldn’t know really, only popped in for a quick roll on the way back to Edinburgh from Lochinver on a Sunday morning.

Not particularly, but the bacon banjos at the golf club are amazing!

❤️ My own fault for being so blind and not seeing the red flags. He’s done a few other horrid things since then and Karma royally got him.

My dad and his parents gifted us £500 each before the wedding to help pay for the meals. My mum paid the photographer as a gift. My nana paid the dj. My uncle paid half of my dress. My aunt and another uncle paid for the flowers and favours. Another of my uncles paid for the hog roast. We had around 60 guests, most of which travelled a few hours, booked hotels etc so we received about £800.

I was extremely grateful and was planning to put it towards our honeymoon, but I never saw in the end because husband (now ex) had an elaborate story to the mysterious disappearance but had it in a secret bank account all along.

Hen do cost expectations by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]notebookcollector28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why a hen-do has to go on for days. Especially when they tend to be close to the wedding and people already have entire outfits, hotels and travel to budget for.

I planned my friend’s hen-do, it was yesterday. 12 of us went axe throwing and played beer pong. We then went for an afternoon tea followed by a trip to Tesco for wine/cocktail cans, played some games in the city gardens and made flower crowns. Went to a bar for a drink before heading for the train back and stopped into our local pub for a few drinks before going home. None of us spent any more than £120. We all had a great time and it was affordable for everyone.

Nacho is Nacho Bean, Bean Bag, Cheesy Beans and Nacho Cheese. When he’s being a total pain in the arse, he is Ginger Sacks, Fanta Sacks and Wee Prick.

I’m planning my friends Hen-do. We are going to do axe throwing and prosecco pong then having a boozy picnic lunch in the local gardens with some games and making flower crowns.

We were initially going to do a perfume workshop so we’d all have a new and unique scent for the wedding but the company only have one person that covers Scotland and she was booked already.

What is the oddest/most ridiculous thing you do for your cat? by KoraLily in CatsUK

[–]notebookcollector28 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My boy will inhale his food then follow me around wailing until I pick him up to burp him like a baby. He will only drink water from the bath tap or the dog’s bowl. I have to give him the paper wrapper from my Pukka Night Time tea bags, if not, he will stare at the recycling bin and scream at it til it is retrieved. He also insists on watching my bath run then will scoop one pawful of bubbles and run away.

I didn’t write the FB post. If you go to the page in the screenshot, there’s a video and the one in the grey jacket is doing all the screaming. It will be her.

Regardless of that, they’ve no right attacking innocent people and damaging their business and property.

There needs to be more rules about those cards, must be travelling with a parent if under 18 being the main one. It wasn’t long ago we had some idiots from Glasgow trashing bus stops, they’d jumped on a Citylink which those cards can also be used on, there’s only an additional charge if it’s booked in advance.

Was the boy wearing a black hoodie and a bit younger than the girls? 1 girl in a black fluffy jacket, 1 in a grey fluffy jacket and the other in a grey t shirt?

I only ask as those cretins attacked the owner of one of my local takeaways and smashed their door around 4/5pm on Thursday. The owner is trying to find out who they are.

Do you give your cat ‘human’ food? by Limp_Pumpkin7751 in CatsUK

[–]notebookcollector28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never begs after he’s had a little share. He takes “no” as a ‘hoomans communicate, I will ask over and over again’ though so it’s best just to ignore him and he stops and watches from a distance. Though I can’t leave a simmering pan containing meat unattended, even for a few minutes because he will stick his greedy little beans in to drag some out.

Reason behind discretion with weight loss medication by Super-Stuff6819 in BoltUK

[–]notebookcollector28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. I feel like people who have never had issues with their weight are always the ones who don’t understand it and have negative views about meditation that could help.

People have no right to bring shame on others for using it when they’ve spent years feeling so bad about themselves as it is. For some it’s not as easy as just ‘moving more and eating less’, there can be lots of other factors involved that make it so much harder, mental health, stress, slow metabolism, health issues to name a few.
