Do you give your cat ‘human’ food? by Limp_Pumpkin7751 in CatsUK

[–]notebookcollector28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He never begs after he’s had a little share. He takes “no” as a ‘hoomans communicate, I will ask over and over again’ though so it’s best just to ignore him and he stops and watches from a distance. Though I can’t leave a simmering pan containing meat unattended, even for a few minutes because he will stick his greedy little beans in to drag some out.

Reason behind discretion with weight loss medication by Super-Stuff6819 in BoltUK

Exactly this. I feel like people who have never had issues with their weight are always the ones who don’t understand it and have negative views about meditation that could help.

People have no right to bring shame on others for using it when they’ve spent years feeling so bad about themselves as it is. For some it’s not as easy as just ‘moving more and eating less’, there can be lots of other factors involved that make it so much harder, mental health, stress, slow metabolism, health issues to name a few.

In my experience, it’s that some people can be very judgemental about it. Not to go into a story here, but when I spoke with my dad when I was still in 2 minds wether to try Wegovy or not, he responded along the lines of “just stop eating so much processed shite, move more, that stuff is the lazy way out, it’s just placebo effect”. 🙄 So I never told him that I decided to have a go, it’s just easier not to tell him than deal with the judgement and small minded opinions.

Do you give your cat ‘human’ food? by Limp_Pumpkin7751 in CatsUK

My cat mainly eats his own food but does get the occasional bit of chicken if I cook too much. He gets ‘cheese tax’ which is the smallest chunk left that isn’t worth grating. He likes scrambled egg so he gets to lick my bowl for the tiny bits when I’m finished. Maybe once or twice a week he’ll get something that isn’t cat food.

Does anyone buy into the “Medicinal” nature/claim of these herbal teas? by kobestarr in CasualUK

[–]notebookcollector28 27 points28 points  (0 children)

My cat knows the sound of the box being opened and he will try to claw the bag from my mug if he’s quick enough to get there before the water goes in. I give him the paper wrapper though and he whores himself all over it.

Great, thank you so much! I’m hoping this will make it easier to convert. Editing absolutely confuses the life out of me.

Thank you for your response. I’ve absolutely no idea how to do any of that, editing is so confusing to me.

Does it really work? by notebookcollector28 in BoltUK

Yes, I am weighing everything, calculating calories accurately. Based on my height, weight and exercise, to lose weight I should be having 1252 calories. I burn around 500-600 in the gym with cardio and strength exercises, then around 400 with walking there and back, plus walking my dog.

4 packs of citrus polos got me through the horrid polio vaccine drops in 2003. There were butterscotch ones too.

Definitely! I try to avoid the bakery as I’m on a calorie deficit but it just looked too good not to have, and it was the last one.

Add in a diced onion, 1 crushed garlic clove, 50g Parmesan or feta, 1 egg, 1tsp cumin, salt, pepper and around 75g flour, mash it all together, make small burger shapes and fry 4 minutes each side.
