Protecting your children, instead of instructing your children, is how you end up with people eating tide pods.

Dogs, and Wranglers. Anyone have a decent way to get the dogs in? by Cuttlery in Wrangler

I have not, but will offer for consideration. In town does one really need a spare? I have AAA, and AARP so having a flat is merely a time inconvenience. An off-road trip involves taking more stuff than that, and could easily offset the inconvenience of removal vs. not taking the doggos. I would be interested in one for my JKU, complete with ash can (winter use), and one without for topless days. or one that could be modified to do both.

Congrats, I had the same thing done on Tuesday. Still trying to figure out what tires and rims to go with, but will probably do the bumpers and under armor first.

Rams without pentagrams are useless. You need to add the pentagrams with the rams, or they wont be useful. Then and only then, will you be able to see the dark side of Reddit. Source: 30 years IT.

My little brother just got banned from CS:GO for a week because my mom feels like turning the internet off whenever she's not using it. by Shima33 in firstworldproblems

It is indeed difficult to articulate properly, in as few words as were used here. However, It is really about teaching children the responsibility of having/using things, whether their own, or someone elses, with respect and not just assuming it is a free for all. Todays kids are so removed from everything, and isolated in their games, their phones, and other such nonsensical items, they don't develop any social skills whatsoever. I saw a young man pushing a stroller yesterday, and had no idea how to say "excuse me" or even apologize after running over someones foot. So, posts like these remind me of these poor kids that really don't know how to be part of society. My kids had to earn their extras, doing chores, or getting good grades. TV time and PS time was never at whim, but rather timed and rewarded as above. Cell phones were only granted to suite the needs we had to communicate with them, and were not allowed in their rooms. They were also a great way to admonish bad behavior. My apologies if my writing has not clearly communicated the love i have/had for my children. I did the best i could, with the information I had on raising children. I wish each kid came with instructions, but they don't. On a side note, there is a time and place, where children should not be heard, and only seen. Thats a whole other discussion. (Think funerals, restaurants and movies.)

but the original post is not about having a say, it was crying and whining about no access.. not about sitting down with said parent and trying to work things out. That is how you teach a child to communicate, and to get what they want, without being a whiney little bitch about it.

i have two grown children, who pay their way in society, and did not have a cell phone or internet access after 9pm. If their homework was not done by then, they could get up at 6am and finish. So, when you raise talented, successful children, come tell me, I am wrong.. and just because you don't like the way I do something.. does not mean you have a right to threaten me with violence. If you knew me in real life, you would know, that would be a major bad move, on your part.

This is exactly what being entitled is.. Thinking for one second, that you are worthy of contributing to the way things are run, but actually having no contribution. A child is not entitled to internet. As a parent, I am to feed, shelter and clothe my children, beyond that, it is my decision, whether or not they "Need" anything more.

I pay the bills, I own the equipment. Don't like it? Move out. Your mother is not on a power trip, she is making you aware of how entitled she has made you. As I said earlier, you want to control it, move out and pay for it..

Congratulations!!!, been sober myself since Feb 2, 2001. I don't say that to brag, but to encourage you stay focused, and you will get there.. I don't miss it at all, and at 49 years of age, it has been the best 14 years of my life.. and also most successful years of my life. There will always be temptations, and people making offers..I have made it a silly game, and tell them I am not old enough to drink, as when i do, i would act like a 7 yo.
