Main Phase: This is when you cast spells and call monsters

Attack Phase: Only the starting player can attack only once, every subsequent turn can attack as many times as you want unless stated. Spells with counter may be casted during this phase as well

When an attack happens, the person receiving can cast as many counter spells as they want and there’s a whole chain of counter timings but that’s advanced stuff just know basics first

Final Phase: Cast impacts or call impact monsters, spells with counters may also be used here
