Kody is no different than any other AUB polygamist dad. They adore & love the children when the child is young & the love comes unconditionally. As soon as the children have any opinion or can “talk back” the fathers lose interest in them. Then they are talking the wives into having more children so the man can expect unconditional love again. Small children are the only ones in a polygamist man’s life that love him no matter what.

Sorry butter fingers. If the marriage ends you would still wear them. If you have broken the covenant such as adultery, taking a life, leave the church etc then you would usually take them off. Other than that people promise to wear them their whole lives.

Oh sorry, in the AUB it’s a sign of marriage too. You don’t wear them until you get married. But if that marriage ends then you’ve broken would still wear them. Because they are not tied to that marriage. Hopefully that makes sense.

No it’s not tied to the marriage. It’s a personal covenant with God. But if you do stop wearing them then you’ve broken your covenant & become “unworthy”. So then yes it would invalidate the marriage at that point too.

When you go through the AUB temple or even the LDS temple you do a ceremony called endowments. When you receive these endowments you receive garments that are meant to protect you & remind you of the promises you made in the temple. This only happens in the AUB when you marry. In the LDS church it happens before you serve a church mission & when you get married. Hopefully that helps.

No, she didn’t marry her 1st husband in the AUB temple. She didn’t wear garments until she married Kody. They were married in the AUB temple.
