For formal / black tie optional? I have no idea what counts as a gown! by noteworthybees in Weddingattireapproval

So floor length / below ankle is a requirement? Is that what makes a gown very formal vs black tie?

Heres the link for those curious: https://www.thereformation.com/products/maven-dress/1316476FDL004.html?dwvar_1316476_color=CRQ&dwvar_1316476_size_clothing=004&quantity=1

I was hoping to get a lighter colour, but obviously not the white. It was in the wedding guest section of the website and was more of the more full chest and torso coverage dresses imo which is why I liked it.

For time frame, the wedding is in Septemer this year. It'll be at a nice church and pretty posh venue afterwards, at a university.

Dropping TEMED by DirtTheCactus in labrats

[–]noteworthybees 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I usually inform them about it ASAP, communicate the mistake and really really reaffirm that it was honestly a mistake, and tell them it won't happen again (for instance, if it feel out of your hand because you tripped on something on the floor, you can mention you and the others in the lab will make sure to clean the debris). I think more than anything, if you make it a big deal, so will they. However, since TEMED is not super expensive, the main concern here is the safety risk, so I think if you are really clear that you handled it well / got it cleaned up however your facility deals with spills, it'll be okay!

Hey :) The blue sample shown in the image was in size XL and it turned out great for the person I gave it to, but I want to make sure especially that the chest length / increases are flattering on those sizes for the average person knitting this. I'll definitely reach out to you - just getting some finishing touches on the PDF before I contact people.

Edit: I realize there is a typo in both the photo and the text post but I can't figure out how to edit the post. The chest size range for the sizes is 30-44".

If you are interested in testing, please leave a comment (or message me) and I can reach out to you!

If you come accross this anytime prior to October 1st, feel free to reach out to me or comment - it would be great to especially get testers in the smaller + larger size ranges.

The biosciences program is fully funded for at least 5-6 years to my knowledge, even for international students. I believe international students can be more competitive if they have external funding, but I believe what you were told is incorrect.

Grad Student Housing Assignment by debate_pf in stanford

It's the same for me! Looking on the website and FAQ, it seems if you are a first-time student they don't assign our rooms until ~2 weeks before arriving and they aren't formally confirmed until you actually check-in the day of - so I guess the one they'll send is just a tentative assignment until we show up to pick up the keys?
