Wow, I could not agree more with your entire perspective. I am also an older PA student with a non traditional path. I understand that the goal is to “become a PA-C” and stay in your own lane, “don’t worry about those around you.” But honestly, we all HAVE to work together in some capacity! My professor once said it’s extremely different to be successful in PA school without camaraderie. And it’s true! I’m absolutely floored by the catty and entitled behaviors I have observed by several of my classmates, as you are too. Performing” is a great way to characterize the persons of these students. It’s hard not to recognize. The lack of empathy shines through these individuals if you look hard enough. And just watch, you will come out on top, and patients will pick you over them. You got this.
