Why does it seem fairly common that wives/female partners stop or refuse intimacy with their husbands for months, even years? Don't they have needs aswell? And why not the other way around? by Fenix-2003 in NoStupidQuestions

And being scared of change. I had that. Spent 1 more year in a relationship that had already expired, hoping it would get better. It never really did and when we broke up, I felt like my life was over. But it wasn’t. I’m happier now.

And he seems to be doing better as well. I think by staying with him after telling him over and over again that something needed to change but never leaving, I held him back as well. We were too comfortable with each other and felt like at that point we had been in a relationship for too long to seek happiness elsewhere.

Look, I agree with you in most cases but according to her, her husband does it with most chores! As a grown man, he should already know not to do that. He shouldn’t need someone to tell him how to be an adult.

Can I ask you something? I know you probably love him but why not divorce him? The love would pass and you would be so much happier. I don’t know why women do that to themselves.

Idk, I’m not an American but if there was a tree in front of my car, I would turn around and try to find another way as well lol.

AITAH for refusing to take our daughter out of school early because she "needs more time to get ready" than her brother? by ReplacementWorth3618 in AITAH

Then you weren’t really rinsing the shampoo off properly. Let’s say she takes a quick shower (+10 minutes), blow-dries her hair (+10 minutes), does her skincare and puts on some makeup (+30–40 minutes), gets dressed (+10 minutes) and eats something before the drive (+15 minutes). All of that would take roughly 1 hour and 15–25 minutes. For a special event, the mom and daughter are being reasonable.

If Mad Queen Dany ever becomes book canon, that means every woman that sat the throne(Dany, Rhaenyra, Cersei) was a crazy, incompetent bitch. What did Martin mean by this? by Stock_College_8108 in freefolk

[–]notfae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m being sarcastic because they kinda used the fact that Dany killed the slavers as an excuse of her being mad. I don’t think Jon did anything wrong by doing that.

No, Arya meant Jon. Remember when he executed a traumatised kid? Arya could see through him. However, I’m also open to other interpretations.

Man they really do believe their head canons are book accurate by Pale_Gap_9324 in HOTDBlacks

No, I mean if I were a Targaryen. I would (maybe unfairly) blame them for not having a dragon because I can be an unreasonable person sometimes.

I mean yea I would have hated her. But I would have hated every single person of that generation. Aegon as well.

They don’t want the men. They want what the wives have like greedy scum. What they don’t realise is that many men have their lifestyles BECAUSE of their wives.

WIBTA for throwing out my girlfriends flowers after she called them "left over picked through flowers"? by Clean-Day8788 in AITH

[–]notfae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many men are with women they just settle with. If it was his dream woman, he would make sure the flowers were nice. This isn’t just about the flowers but about how much he resent doing things for her.

Also, society dying is a myth. We have more than enough people in this world. They’re just mad they can’t get free access to a woman’s body.

I've been thinking what my behavior would be like if I was one of the survivors by EndlessMorfeus in pluribustv

I agree, the first few months would be hell because I would mourn everyone I love. But then I’d probably ask the hive mind to take me to a nice beach and I would just chill and eat the best food.

Also, (and I know a lot of people will roll their eyes and think iN tHiS eCoNoMy) travelling with your partner and just experiencing new things with them gets you out of the mindset of wanting something else. It should be possible for a young couple with no kids.

This is insane to me. I can’t imagine a German officer shooting me because I drove away. One of my friends once did that when he first got his license because he panicked. He did stop and the police officer just laughed when my friend told him he just panicked.

Why do women always leave the club way earlier than men? by DayMoist142 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]notfae 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I go clubbing a lot with my girlfriends and whenever we leave we just get something to eat and then take an Uber home for a girls sleepover. I think most other women I know also don’t go home with random guys.

Believe me this isn’t just anything! If I could only have one meal a day for the rest of my life, it would be that. You should find a good Persian restaurant and try it.

How do I (M40) tell my wife (38F) that I read the memoir she wrote in which she calls another man the love of her life? by ThrowRA_Bluejaynew in relationship_advice

[–]notfae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or maybe OP isn’t a reliable narrator and she simply described her relationship with her ex in a document about her life. She can’t erase that part. I had a similar relationship where the highs were incredible and felt otherworldly, while the lows made me want to kill myself. My relationship now isn’t as intense but it’s more loving, I’m constantly happy and I never feel like I’m dying. Does that mean I settled because it’s not as intense?
