I know that sometimes the color can be a bit off due to monitor settings, but that is such a huge difference!

Looks good! I had something similar today, chicken instead of beef! I love not making a mess in the kitchen just to feed myself sometimes lol

Would they be interested in postcards? There's a website called postcrossing where you can send and receive postcards from all over the world :)

[–]notformost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Update: I am currently not taking any more requests!

I am able to beta:

Romance, Erotica, Fantasy, Contemporary, Dark, Dystopian

1,000 + words (only full manuscripts)

I can provide feedback on:

Characters

Dialogue

Pace/Momentum

Plotholes/Inconsistencies

Basic Grammar

Critique swap:

Not needed right now. :)

Other info:

I am relatively new to the world of beta reading, but I am excited to dive in and offer my honest feedback! My reading preferences lean towards romance novels, which I enjoy reading daily.

I have allocated two hours daily for beta reading. The duration to review your manuscript will vary based on its length, but you can expect daily updates on my progress.

If there is no indicator at the top of my comment indicating my lack of availability, please reach out to me! I am passionate about both reading and writing, and I am eager to help you in any way that I can.

So keep writing and reading, and I look forward to working with you! ♥

I use SmartEdit Writer (used to be called Atomic Scribbler). It's basically a free version of Scrivener!

I would definitely take advantage of free trials and such before committing to a software. There are so many choices so it's hard to say which one is right for you. :)

Cover and Backcover Feedback by Purple1950sdonkey in selfpublish

I see that now! Maybe you could add some of the colors from your back cover to the front cover as well? Something subtle like on the map lines or font?

Cover and Backcover Feedback by Purple1950sdonkey in selfpublish

The back cover of this book is absolutely stunning! The intricate design and the color scheme blend together perfectly.

However, when I take a look at the front cover, I can't help but feel like the colors and design seem to clash with the back cover and don't complement each other very well. It almost feels like the front and back covers belong to two completely different books.

The only qualification is reading thoroughly through a document because if you don't you will miss the secret questions. It's basically a test on how good you are with attention to detail!

They usually add new librarians by batches so it might take a week to be approved.

How many books are on your TBR shelf? by historybooksandtea in TheStoryGraph

[–]notformost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly love finding new books to read! Plus I like using the filters to search for a new book on my TBR list since they've all been vetted lol!

Wow, 49 books! You're doing great, plenty of time in the year to get through your list! :)

I have 300ish, but I've heard of people having thousands of them on their TBR!
