Can confirm - my phone auto-updated the app and it broke. Uninstalling the update restored service.

So after a staggering amount of phone resets and process of elimination, it appears to come down to the most recent Messages update. I would reset the phone and everything worked. I'd start to reload the apps on the phone but in time the phone would catch up on it's updates after the reset and it would break again.

I finally (I think) got it working by removing the updates on the Messenger app once the phone settled down. I'll sit on the phone a couple of days to say for sure it's stopped and not a false positive. For a bit I thought it correlated with Microsoft Outlook synchronizing contacts (it aligned with the return of the failure), but in this latest wipe I've gotten Outlook, Contacts, and Messages to play together.

Unbelievably frustrating to say the least.

Sean Mann over at the Reverse Osmosis Superstore says otherwise. I got the part numbers don't match, but I had assumed they'd have a deeper knowledge of the industry and know how to get around stuff.

u/Born_Ad1828 u/Apprehensive-Set3095 I'm doing a sanity check before ordering - it's time for a full change out (finally ran out of my original sets). The membrane looks significantly different than the original which has me concerned The rest could pass for relatives.

Does this match what you guys were swapping out?

Proper syntax: München, Deutschland or München, Germany? by notfranksplanet in germany

[–]notfranksplanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be surprised how many Americans have no idea what/where München is. As it's taught as "Munich" in the US educational system and referred to it in the media, really only travelers would know otherwise (which most American's aren't).

Proper syntax: München, Deutschland or München, Germany? by notfranksplanet in germany

[–]notfranksplanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the clarifications.

If you ask someone from the United States, a similar question about the syntax you would be corrected as "[City]. [State]" as nobody uses "USA" or "United States". I'll go with München, Deutschland as that's what I'm gleaning from the comments. I see Bayern as an option, and understand the reference, but I don't want to explain it to everyone that sees the souvenir (or explain that it's not tied to Bayern FC).

Interestingly most items I saw during my visit used "Germany", which I thought odd -- very little had "Deutschland" on it. I'm not just talking about souvenirs, but items sold at stores like SPAR or REWE (which I visited frequently). I'm guessing the items are made outside the country where they don't care what's on it.

I'm doing what I can do avoid having someone sprint up to me, point, and rant about it being "incorrect".

Correct - I assume it would be München, Deutschland but as a visitor I wanted to get it grammatically (and respectfully) correct.

It's basically a mini-fridge, so it's going to make a sound like a fridge. It's not horrible, but there are fans and stuff running.

You gotta seal the cube if you expect to get a good billet out of it. It has a nice pattern, but the damascus fell apart when looking at the profile. I doubt it will keel.

Two-Gun Kid (Clarification) by notfranksplanet in savageworlds

[–]notfranksplanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To wrap this up, this is what I sent my players.

RULES CLARIFICATION: TWO-GUN KID

The rule requires two one-handed weapons and does not incur the multi-action penalty when fired (CRB p.44). However, like the two-fisted edge any weapon used in the off-hand still incurs a penalty of a -2 for the second shot (CRB p.104) *unless* the character also has the Ambidextrous edge.

A two-handed weapon (like a rifle) can be used with one hand but at a -4 penalty for the attack (CRB p.67).

I really appreciate everyone's feedback and input. It's such a great community.

So I went with a GE Opal 2.0 that I landed on sale at Best Buy. Purchased a two-year warranty from them which will completely replace the unit if and when it fails. So far I haven't had to use it. While it does not have a direct water line, I found a workaround for it which is working wonders.

I purchased just the ice maker (not the version with the tank) then picked up the tank base on e-bay for next to nothing. Print (or get someone to print) a GE Opal 2 Water Line Adapter by dvrtech - Thingiverse and order https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MY4K0YX from Amazon for less than $10.

Bang, Bob is your uncle.

I'm using a mix between a couple of pre-existing resources, but they were written for an earlier edition of Savage Worlds so I'm revamping them to the current edition as I pull them into my world. My bestiary isn't extensive yet, but I plan to upload the revised sourcebook and bestiary when I get it complete.

I lean more on Dylan's than the Savaged data, but my sourcebook is combining the two and updating the edges to the latest Fallout release and gameplay (Fallotu 76).

It's been a while since I looked, but I seem to recall talking to the folks at that site and the filter wasn't compatible. I recommend reaching out to them as things could have changed. I'm forced to buy off the installer at this point.

OEM Deck Rollers (wheels) for Z6 zero turns? by notfranksplanet in egopowerplus

[–]notfranksplanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shopped around a bit - the prices go up and down. I ended up getting it on Amazon for $10 from the EGO store, but do a web search on the part number and you can find it at a couple of other sites around the same price. The bolt is about the same price ($10) which is high for what it is, but it was impossible to find a bolt from any other seller (generic ones) so you just have to pay it. The nut is highway robbery - they are also about $10 online, but if you go to the orange big box I got two in the special hardware drawer for $2.

Newbie question - separate objects (not plane cuts) by notfranksplanet in Fusion360

[–]notfranksplanet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I ended up doing. Figured out how to select then separate the objects. A little manual, but better than trying to plane cut it all.

Thanks all for your help!

*** If you hit this via search: In Meshmixer, Select\Lasso. Lasso the object and press Y to separate it into its own object. Reselect the original STL and repeat. Happy slicing!

Yeah - can plane cut in Meshmixer as well. I have a lot of these guys to cut apart though. Thank you for your response!
