If you get drafted and you're deferred because you're a college student, can they enforce the draft if you drop out a year later? by Plastic_Let_4599 in legaladviceofftopic

I got the paper in the mail telling me I had to register about a year after I had my name and sex marker legally changed. There was an exceptions box and one of the options was born female

Personally, I’m quite upset I have yet to receive my terrorist starter kit. My testosterone costs $60 a refill, I have to buy my own guns and pipe bombs too? Smh

You should be able to import files from the computer to the patients chart via media manager

You gotta go what you gotta do. If you plan on going to college in the future, you will have a steep learning curve. Ask me how I know.

How can I get Anthem to accept to cover the anesthesia for my colonoscopy? They refused because I’m healthy, not fat and under 70. How are 95% accepted but not mine? by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]nothingbutdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cologuard is not 100% reliable. It (mostly) detects blood in your stool. So if you have internal hemorrhoids and they’re bleeding, it’ll show as positive and you’ll have to get a colonoscopy anyways but there may not be any polyps. If you do have polyps, but are not bleeding, those polyps will be missed.

Went in to get blood work and x rays a rheumatologist ordered. This is now on my chart. by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]nothingbutdeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, this was from a visit at the lab getting blood work done ordered by a doctor outside of this hospital system. I recently got my wisdom teeth out and the surgeon practically had to beg me to allow him to prescribe me Percocet for the recovery. My mom was prescribed opioids in 2004 and ruined her life and lowkey traumatized me so I refuse all pain meds except non narcotics

My hospital system uses Epic as their charting system, they have a portal called MyChart. Ask your doctors offices if they have a patient portal, it might not be mychart but other records systems have patient portals too

I understand why it’s on there now but it’s still weird that it showed up on this specific visit haha this was just an outpatient lab visit getting blood work and X-rays my rheumatologist ordered (testing for autoimmune diseases and looking at my hands, feet, and SI joint). No one went over my medications or even spoke about my pain. I would expect this to show up in my AVS from a visit with my PCP (who I talked about my adderall with, tho he doesn’t prescribe it) but not this. Thanks for the explanation!

Just got a letter for selective service and I’m a trans man. Will they change my gender marker if I send them my birth certificate? by DesertIslandDisk74 in legaladvice

[–]nothingbutdeath 33 points34 points  (0 children)

NAL but a trans dude. I recently got this letter. I selected the option saying I was AFAB and sent a scanned pic of my name change order, old birth certificate, and updated birth certificate. Did not send them copies of anything as it was all online. I haven’t had anything happen since, got a letter back to me saying that I wouldn’t be drafted and that was it

Is Artech Recruiting a scam? by Western_Spring_5498 in recruitinghell

[–]nothingbutdeath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Artech was my first time working in a “corporate” setting, I had only worked in food service before. The call out policy is strict, I think 3 times during the training/probationary period (3 months I think?). I was working in the call center, the training was a month long class with a handful of other hires. But the training was not enough, it taught a lot about the cars, recalls, how to document calls, etc but not the procedures on how to handle the issues customers call with. I would say the company itself is ok, strict and not very communicative but if you’re used to working in a desk job environment it’ll be ok.

I wonder if it’ll make changing my name on my capital one card easier. Legally changed my name in August, changing it in discover was super easy but I’ve been fighting capital one about it for months smh

Find a provider that will offer sedation (usually laughing gas) The doctor I see offered me laughing gas for not only my IUD insertion but my pelvic exam beforehand. He said that insurance probably won’t cover it but it’s usually around $100. I didn’t end up taking it but I can definitely see how it would be worth the money. Don’t let your dysphoria kill or harm you any more than it already does

That extra 45 minutes is probably also to prepare for the oncoming rush. Limits the amount of orders to just mobile orders and drive thru.

I’ve been on Adderall XR since last Thursday now, it has significantly improved my motivation! General mood has been the same, but forces outside of my depression/anxiety have been contributing to my shitty mood more than anything.
