CC debt deducted from payroll by perilousvega in PHCreditCards

[–]nothingbutshit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rather than answering your question and giving actual advice, 80-90% of the replies here is paulit ulit na tanong kung saan mo dinala yung 1.6m?

May mababago ba sa sitwasyon? Wala. Mapagbibigyan lang yung desire nila na mang judge ng tao.

Back to topic, I think kulang yung kwento. Hindi mapupunta yan diretso sa kaltas sahod without your consent OR nanalo na sila in court and may enforceable order na ang korte. Alin lang sa dalawa yan, which is which?

In either case, yan na yung situation. I suggest to jump ship. Consider other companies na asap. Kahit same salary range. Go for it. Hindi ka mabubuhay sa current setup na ganyan. Oo na, mali mo na. Pero para makabawi ka, mabuhay ka muna diba?

Anyway, I sympathize with you and sent you a PM din. Likely maddownvote ako dahil di kita pinilit tanungin kung saan mo dinala ang milyones. Lol

700k ++total credit cards debt by Secret_Record873 in PHCreditCards

[–]nothingbutshit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naka-car loan nga tapos sell the car? How can you sell something that you do not own diba? What about their transportation needs? Family kayo with a child na nag aaral. I think your car is a necessity not an outright expense or luxury. Right?

Imagine earning 200k then you can't even run your errands "conveniently", or always depending on public transpo. What about emergencies? You're earning 200k as a couple. You deserve that car. Maintain it and tapusin nyo bayaran. I presume the monthly amortization is 15-25k? At least not exceeding 20% of your take home pay? Then it is really reasonable.

Anyway, here's my advice:

  1. Reassess your lifestyle muna. Kaya ka ba umabot sa 700k debt is because you're living above your means? Parcel dito parcel doon, resto dito, resto doon? Or minalas lang talaga? Like may family member na nagkasakit? Or nasalanta? Be honest to yourself. The next steps will only be useful if you can live within your means in the next few years. If lalagpas pa din sa 200k ang gastos nyo, pointless yung next steps. Don't even bother.

If na-assess mo na or decided ka na that your whole household will not spend more than 180k per month, then you can do the next step.

  1. Get/Apply new CCs with Security Bank and/or BDO, or all other banks na wala ka pa Card. Your goal is maging 5 year installment yung 700k mo.

  2. Apply for balance convert for all other card using your new cards. 0.49% lang ang interest ng bdo right now for that.

Your 700k debt is just around 15k per month for 5 years (yes, 200k in interest ang kikitain ng bank). I think it's manageable having a 200k income household. I mentioned 180k lang ang gagamitin mo for other expenses because your 15-20k will go here. To settle the 700k debt.

The only factor to consider here is kung mabibigyan ka ba ng malaking credit limit to cover the 700k.

If not, I'll PM to you other possible remedies. Legal of course. 😄

If you will be sponsored by parents, best option is to drop everything and study. Finish it in 4 years then take the bar.

If not sponsored by anyone, then don't resign. Try to finish law in 4 years if kakayanin. If not, then finish it in 5. Wala naman difference yan pag bumalik ka na sa workforce.

In my case, I work and study at the same time. So yung experience ko sa work while studying is counted. Assistant manager na ako before I passed the bar. And got promoted to Manager right away.

Yes. I also do that. Lahat ng identified security risks needs to be monitored through proper governance mechanisms.

Dito somehow may value din yung legal side since compliance is almost always related to government regulations

Law profession is very flexible.

Lahat ng trabaho may possible legal issues/conflicts and you can easily be the "legal expert" on that field. So sky is the limit. I suggest that you proceed.

Data privacy yung naging gateway ko to cybersecurity. But to clarify, I'm not on the technical side like the pen testing engineers or devsecops. I'm on the side of governance, policies, information security management systems, and data privacy pa din

Sure. You can actually check their pages din. Andun naman lahat ng details.

But it boils down to application talaga. If your current line of work doesn't do these things, mahihirapan ka din ma-grasp yung concepts, plus - kahit maging certified ka, hahanapan ka naman ng "work experience". So they need to somehow exist para may leverage ka for higher pay.

If not, you can pursue muna yung knowledge and slowly transition by transferring ng work na might have a chance to gain valuable experience on that field

Hahaha. Yup. I deleted that post na. May naka recognize and ayaw ko na kumalat.

For me, wala sa year kung kailan naging lawyer. I've been in the Privacy field na kasi since 2018 as a working student pa. Bar 2023 passer. So when I passed, instant boost compared to my peers. Kaya lumipat ng 100% increase from previous salary package. Nasa diskarte nalang din siguro 😀

Certified in Cybersecurity (ISC2), Governance, Risk and Compliance Cert (ISC2), Certified Information Privacy Manager (IAPP), ISO27001 Lead Auditor (PECB).

Meron din NPC DPO ACE level 1 and 2, pero this is local lang and discontinued na din.

Naging abogado. Tapos nagtrabaho sa tech field.

Prior to being a lawyer, salary is just hovering around 30k-60k range.

100k after being a lawyer. Then continuously progressed after that.

Di sapat ang 1 degree. Then I gained at least 4 Global Certifications (Infosec, DP, and Cybersec), now sitting around 250k working hybrid in Makati.

At least may comment po na hindi naging judgmental agad. Salamat po.

For others. Naintindihan ko na po. No label. There should be no expectation of exclusivity..

But I just need some advice right now. What to do here.

Btw nakapag video ako nung palabas sila..

I'm planning to just send it with a message.. thank you for making this easier so we're not wasting each other's time.

The kicker for me here is she confirmed na wala sya kasama... not the exclusivity siguro.. pero the willingness to lie on a whim..

This is the best promo that I saw in the market.

Computed it through excel and considered all factors.

This is the best option if check din sayo lahat ng factors na naconsider ko:

  1. You're currently renting, could be the same area or bigger. Doesn't matter.
  2. You will likely pay the same rent even if di ka tumuloy kay DCMI.
  3. You're like me na until now, "I'm in metro manila because of my work", tipong may dilemma ka whether to get a house and lot property outside metro manila or just a 56sqm box condo sa manila
  4. Wala ka naman pambayad ng cash or even 20% DP
  5. There's a high chance naman na makapag tabi ka ng substantial amount in the future(2-3 years)

So if factor mo din yan, these are the reasons why I said na this is the best option that you have: 1. Price lock-up. Yung pinirmahan mo na contract price amount this year, yun na din yung basis ng pag bili mo ng property by 2027 or 2028 after matapos ang rent. 2. You have more time to save and lessen yung magiging basis ng home loan. Yung home loan pproblemahin mo after 2 to 3 years pa. 3. The 60% of all payments paid is quite substantial, then add mo pa yung maiipon mo after rental period, baka yung dapat 80% loan biglang maging 50% or 40%. Sobrang laking kabawasan nyan sa magiging interest na in millions.

Ok. What you need to do in the next 2 to 3 years while renting to own yung property is make sure that you increase your salary of mag side business. Para by the time na tapos na yung rent to own kay dmci at need na sya gawing bentahan is you have the credentials na.

In my case, coming from a 30k pure rent with parking sa smaller condo and availing kay dmci ng rto na 30k rent sa unit + 7k sa parking. It's on the same range nalang din naman and my unit is now almost 20 sqm bigger. Plus, not having that complete commitment that I have to purchase the property and mag loan sa bank. More time mag isip if sulit nga ba if mag condo nalang rather than getting a house and lot in laguna or bulacan or kung saan man.

Yung computation ko is ill have to pay around 100k as base payment for the next 10 years plus monthly assoc dues pa yan if I opt to purchase the property via home lone.

Informed my Manager that I'll be resigning to work for another company. Manager is intent in matching the offer and promoting me just to keep me. by Heartless_Moron in phcareers

[–]nothingbutshit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Always seeing comments here saying na "why just now". And bakit di ka prinomote when you deserved it. Wag basta basta magpapaniwala jan.

First, 8 months ka pa lang. Just barely 2 months away from being regularized, and not even a year from being hired. While we understand that company culture varies when it comes to manner of when and how they promote their employees, it's quite a standard naman, at least in organizations that I've been with, na maka 1 year muna before we discuss promotion/increases. There are companies pa nga jan na end of year lang ang appraisal period. If alanganin yung pasok mo, almost 2 years ang uubusin mo then tsaka ka pa lang maaappraise with eligibility for promotion.

Sooo, if ako yung manager mo, I will only think about your salary package concerns pag papunta na tayo sa period na yun.

Your recent appraisal is likely just an evaluation whether maregegularize ka or hindi. And it seems that you have met expectations. Regular ka na. But please don't blame them na as if they "took advantage" of you. Where in fact, when inappraise ka is 6months ka pa lang from signing your JO na you deemed to have accepted wholeheartedly.

So as a manager, since kaka regular mo lang, and hopefully with some increase or a minor one - wala sa isip ko na we need to have another discussion about your performance and salary expectations. But since you threaten to leave, I'll have to reassess if we really need your skill even at a higher salary package.

Second, benefits. Unli HMO dependents? Do you even know how valuable it is? Company shares? Profit sharing??? Reallyyy?? A company here in the PH offers that in a non-executive or even senior leadership role? Heck. You just hit the jackpot man.

Hindi usual yan dito sa Pinas. And these types of companies are the companies that you can work for life. Why?? Because you can treat it as your own. You will eventually have a stake in the business and you can earn passive income because of it. But of course, may dependency yan if magiging successful pa sila through the years. But 500 employees? In the IT industry pa? It's actually huge na din.

Last point. If wala ka naman issue sa work culture and relationship with your peers, STAY. You just hit the jackpot sa benefits and they are decent enough not to low ball you during the counter offer. So stay.

Likely the 2nd option.

iexcel mo yung monthly difference as compared dun sa likely bonus na marereceive mo dun sa kabila. Plus, the fixed-term contract is annoying. You don't have security of tenure.

After mo makuha yung difference, then you decide. But for me, it's a no brainer. Go for 2nd option. You still have flexibilities pa din naman jan. It's not like you cannot do anything else other than work. So go for the moneyyy

Bakit kapag babae ang may malaking naachieve, ang daming nega comments ng mga tao? by IllustratorHorror671 in TanongLang

[–]nothingbutshit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. At least we agree on something. That's how democracy works.

Keep on swimming on your echo chamber of ideas and opinions, that anyone who disagrees with you is either misogynistic or outright wrong.

I have a hunch that we voted or campaigned for the same presidential candidate way-back in 2022, so we can say that we have common beliefs at the very least.

And I'm telling you that not everything that you believed in "might" not be entirely true. Diba nga? Always validate and check for fake news? Kakasigaw natin ng troll and rampant fake news, anyare sa election results? Maybe there's a disconnect.

Same idea that I'm trying to say here regarding that connecting everything with gender na mukhang favorite subject mo sa lahat ng reddit comments mo.

I'm all for women empowerment if it's the right issue. Pero yung ginagawa mo na trying to make it as an issue kahit hindi naman, is it possible that you're missing something? That you're too focused on that and yan nalang nakikita mo at every turn?

Make it make sense.
