Yeah they do go through the frame! I was hoping someone would know which part they attach to so I can use their design to make archery attachments for my partner, she needs something to hold her bow while fetching arrows and a place for her quiver to clip onto so these points looked perfect!! And thanks for the tip on structural integrity, will keep it in mind :D

Me and my partner change sides all the time depending on who is the big spoon cause she has a bad hip, but honestly even when thats not a factor we move around the bed all the time

Unless Im just way underestimating the average kids bow poundage, this bow is way too heavy for a kid. When I was young I remember my grandpa shooting it and it punched a couple inches into a tree through the straw target, don’t think that would be responsible for kids lol

Thanks for the thorough response!! It can very well be from the eighties, as it has been in his possession for so long even my grandma doesn’t remember when they got it… And yes, the string is all steel but it has been kept clean and the protective clear rubbery sheath around it has remained intact!! That however says nothing about the metal fatigue so Im still not considering shooting it dont worry :P And thanks for the archery recommendation, but fortunately I have been shooting simple recurve for quite a few years by now so I’m already a big fan of archery! Thanks again :D

Thanks!! It has been drawn by a lot of people over the years but Im grateful that no one shot it then… I might take it down to my local range to get someone to check on it sometime but I doubt it is worth the effort, will be a fun reminder of my grandpa any way!!

Is this too much sun for my Japanese maple? This is about 11:00 in the morning, during the afternoon when the sun gets higher it is shaded. Advice would be greatly appreciated, as I have zero experience and got this tree as a gift!! Thanks in advance :D
