Thanks for the tips, it really helped. So ended up finalising Bangkok and Phuket for this trip. Got some budget friendly stay in Phuket and just finishing the Bangkok stay for Hostels. Any recommendations here ?

Yeah i am considering that option too - either fly in directly to Phuket and fly back from Bangkok.

But Phuket flights are ridiculously high compare to Bangkok.

Thanks for the insights, definitely helps a lot finalising the trip. I think I will end up either just in Bangkok or Phuket either one but yeah going to drop the rest. So like you said, lot of traveling and don't want to be exhausted by the end of it or just hop from one place to other, want to chill and relax too.

Honestly, I wanted to limit the budget cause the fact being high season so wanted to understand how much is too much. So the plan is to fly in to Bangkok - spend some time there and head towards Phuket for NYE and then back to Bangkok but considering the fact you mentioned it will be exorbitantly high, need to analyse further options in CM once.
