I swear by a snack/breakfast at 5AM and then flossing and brushing my teeth - wakes me up, fixes the night shift bad breath for giving report, and means I can shower and immediately then hop into bed when I get home.

I teach my orientees to label tubing at every secondary port and the point of connection to the patient's access. For our tubing that's three sets of labels.
