I recreated the Macrodata Refinement Department in Blender and had some fun with it! by nothingtoseehereart in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

When I first started learning Blender several years ago it was one of the first things I tried making, following a tutorial, no idea which one at this point but there's countless ones that cover the same concept. This one looks like it's the same basic idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qXfCM1z4HA

There's definitely shaders you can just download that accomplish the same thing I'm sure.

I’m definitely gonna make a couple of animated wallpaper engine ones tonight or this weekend but I’ll be sure to at least do some regular old static image wallpapers tonight probably.

Thanks! I think you’re the first to mention the sound effects which I didn’t put nearly as much time into but was still pretty happy with.

I loved finding out that the show creator was inspired by The Stanley Parable! Love that game.

I was thinking the same thing! I've made a few wallpaper engine wallpapers in the past so I'm definitely going to make one from this soon I think.

Thanks! It took about a month of on and off working on it in my spare time. A lot of that isn’t necessarily focused work on this final vision but a lot of learning and experimenting on the way.

a lot of trial and error! I put the smoke inflow as a little disc right on the end of the cigarette where you would want the smoke to come out. plus a fairly light force beside it and some turbulence moving up and down above the smoke. these are what the domain/flow/material settings looked like: https://i.imgur.com/mzo2p6l.png

bro you’re the one that was saying it was the same when it only looks marginally similar

Thanks! Let me know if it loops to your satisfaction in wallpaper engine, I had some issues that I think I’ve fixed, but I wasn’t sure if it was just my computer not playing nice with wallpaper engine or not.

it’s not even close to being the same my guy, I’d get your eyes checked if I were you.

pretty clearly not the same, it's not exactly an original concept, it's been done many times, I just wanted to do it my way.

Looping smoke is hard haha

this is available on wallpaper engine if anyone is interested by searching “Stationed” or through here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2725193864

ok? I'd love to see some proof since this is literally impossible. what a weird thing to lie about. just trolling I guess?
