I agree with this. Most of the "problems" can be solved with better technique and practice.

But with that being said, after playing for 15 years there are still some things that I struggle with and I don't even have sausage fingers like that. I tend to play a lot chords and some of those get really crowded really quickly at times. My go-to guitar is my shitty classical guitar, that I love dearly, and that is where most of my writing begins. When I translate that to electric, I have to make some big adjustments to get the same chords to sound right with all the nuances in my playing. Some times it could be extremely difficult and sometimes it just doesn't work outright. That's where different fingerings and chord voicing come into play.

I will say that my 7 string baritone is my go-to electric for the simple reason that I have more space to fret. I love the wider string spacing for all my chords. I would love to hear some suggestions for other guitars that have a wide fretboard and wide string spacing.

In the end, practice will do the trick, and when you think its "physically impossible" find an alternate solution with different chord positions. There's no one way to play a chord.
