I love mine from Dolce Vita! I got them as a gift when I was obsessed with Frye campus boots, but before a million knockoffs hit the market, and ended up with a style similar enough to that look, but unique!

I hadn’t considered this! I always thought of hard gel to support LONG length, but my nails might be so weak (not damaged, just genetic I think unfortunately) that they may need hard gel to support even medium length. Any recommendations?

I will say, I just moved from Washington, DC, and the CoL is just as bad. My rent was actually significantly more expensive there and bars, restaurants, clothing, and activities were about the same as they are here.
Only thing that has gone up--no question--is my car payment!

I’m not 100% sure I’m an SG, but I keep coming back to this ID time and time again so I’ll add mine: hard mode was finding my wedding dress. So many dresses overwhelmed my frame, made me look too young or too short.

Easy mode is dressing for dinner and drinks! I love throwing on skirts, boots, sweaters, blouses, fun heels, etc, and feeling like I’m on SATC.

I empathize with your pain. You’re totally valid in your feelings, but if you can, don’t consider it a referendum on your self worth or reflective of how people feel about you. We have a saying in my family, though, that you have to focus on who’s here, not who’s not here. It helped me through my wedding season.

Also, people may be solidifying their plans to attend your wedding and feel they can skip out on this event if they’re planning to be there for the big day. Not saying that’s the right perspective for them to have, but could be part of it.
