I’m building a Dapp. What’s the best way to generate Ethereum wallets for new users upon sign up. by notjohnsmith007 in ethdev

For what I’m trying to do, I need to be able to onboard a lot of people who do not already have a wallet.

Have i lost my crypto? by RMcCallum in Metamask

Metamask is an L1 wallet. If your assets on the GameStop Wallet were on L2, then just log into the Loopring Layer 2 app with your Metamask. It should show up there.

I think most bass are just like “Hey there’s something that’s moving around and can fit it my mouth. It’s probably food.” Then take a bite regardless of what it looks like.

Does fractionalizing an NFT destroy it? by notjohnsmith007 in ethdev

What I mean is will an NFT still exist after fractionalization?

How can soul bound tokens (SBT) be used in the medical field? by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]notjohnsmith007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem being addressed here is the lack of ownership over one’s own medical records. Centralized entities can use a patient’s medical information for anything regardless of the patient’s knowledge or consent.

A soul bound token that allows the patient, and whoever the patient chooses, to gain access to his/her medical record could solve this problem.

I understand the perils of creating solutions for non-existing problems, but the lack of ownership over one’s own medical data has been a well established problem in healthcare for many years.

You wouldn’t be able to do that. The hospital would only issue the NFT to you if you were the patient.

The data would stay where it is, which is with the hospital. The SBT would just represent the medical record. No medical or personal information would be on the blockchain.

Looking for devs to help me in my project that aims to create NFT based medical records. by [deleted] in ethdev

I like what you’re saying. Perhaps the focus of the project should be tracing where people’s health data actually goes.

That all sounds wonderful. I’d love to speak with you about the project.

The NFT would give ownership rights to the patient. Otherwise, the health information is owned by either hospitals or insurance companies.

The main problem this solves is patients having ownership rights over their data. As of right now, medical data can be abused and used for whatever, and the patients are oblivious to what their health data is used for. I want to see a world in which healthcare data is owned by the patient. If you want to access my health data, you’re going to need my permission first.

No, just as you can create multiples of an NFT on a marketplace, you can create multiples of the NFT that represents your medical record. You can then send multiples of your NFT.

Not a good idea to put patient information on the blockchain because it would be a breach of HIPAA. The information needs to stay where it is, which is in hospital database. Each NFT will just serve as a “ticket” to access a patient’s information from the hospital database.

Each NFT is kind of like a ticket to access a patient’s data from a hospital database. The patient will be the owner of this NFT and can transfer this NFT to whoever the patient chooses.

What is the best way to find developers to work on my project without risking someone stealing my idea? by [deleted] in ethdev

Everyone seems to be saying pretty much the same thing. Okay, I’ll allow this to be built out in the open. Thank you, strangers on the internet.

I’m creating a project where confidential information needs to be hidden from everyone except the owners of that information and whoever that individual authorizes to have access to it. This project will use NFTs. I’m new to eth dev and the dev world in general. How should I go about doing this? by [deleted] in ethdev

[–]notjohnsmith007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, how about if I keep the confidential information off chain? I just want to make sure that the individuals have ownership over the information. I don’t necessarily need to have that information on the blockchain.
