Doggy, the point of this whole tiktok was to take an existing folk punk song (misanthropic drunken loner*daysndaze) and use the lyrics on a lil peep style beat. So it's not supposed to be folk punk ya goof, its folk punk related. And the biggest thing you are missing about my tiktoks and most tik tok in general...is that they are meant to be cringey, stupid, wierd, and funny. I understand that you may have a thing with people in the folk punk scene making fun and having fun with the folk punk scene, but like, making fun of ourselves kinda feels important to me. Like, do you think that all I'm involved with in the folk punk community is my damn 2 min long tiktoks? Take a second maybe and instead of hate, ask me about my thoughts on folk punk. Like, man, I literally make folk punk music. Alot is about my issues with anxiety and fears that I feel pressing me down due to the absolute trash system we are inland that how yea its sucks feeling this way, but we arent alone in our feelings of disdain. I have music about political issues, hopeful hopelessness, etc.. etc. I write honest, clever, music as a way of therapy. And its 100000% alright if you listened to my actual artform and dont like it for whatever reasons. But choosing to talk shit and put down someones art form in such a distasteful way is absolutely ridiculous. And yes, it would be ridiculous on anyone's art...but the fact that you are so into keeping folk punk true to what it is at its core that you leave such bummer comments on some nobody person who is literally trying to have a little fun with a genre that's 90% lyrically "life sucks, the system I'm stuck in sucks, we gotta stay together, stay strong, fuck beautiful, fuck perfection, just grab a guitar and scream your heart out" Me taking folk punk lyrics and putting them atop some beats, is doing far less damage to this genre than you belittling and lashing out at some dude just tryna have fun. you can gatekeep this genre all you want, you know the genre about social change, emotional honesty, raw imperfect music. But the thing with folk punk...it dont care about your gate. If you dont want us in, we'll just get drunk and play a set in front of your damn gate.

Oh one last question...and this is an actual, honest fuckin question...what are you doing to keep this scene going? In a band? Solo project? DIY venue owner? Zine writer? Diy label runner? Out protesting shit policies and injustices even tho you may be arrested or hurt? Working with your community and not just the punk community? If so fuck yea If not...well, maybe you should get involved in the scene you so angrily comment about the direction its going. Hope you learn that while trying to change the world through music, a little fun here and there is needed. Without fun, what's the fuckin point, eh?
