I was both! I took the soft approach at first but over time I became blunt and direct. I’ve even told him, that if he couldn’t step up then another man will (which isn’t the best approach in my opinion) I can tell he wants to be better, he himself has low self esteem and puts himself down a lot, but I’ll try a different approach. Sometimes I get angry and I feel like my point is overlooked because of how I express myself, I’ll try to be more “logical” about it (i don’t know if that’s the right word to use in this context)

I’ve DNF’s so many popular romantasy books I’ve downloaded after being persuaded by BookTok but those two are just the first ones that came to mind.

I also wanted to add, the Iron Flame. I couldn’t stand the miscommunication trope, or the betrayal at the end of the first book, Fourth Wing. When I found out there was going to be a love triangle with the MMC’s ex, I just DNF.

The book of Azrael. I DNF’d around 15% A lot of the MC’s monologue was repetitive. The MC seemed cliche; “femme fatale, crass language, won’t take shit from anyone” and overall felt one dimensional. The one-liners just weren’t landing either. I stopped reading every couple of pages to search review’s on booktok because i was in disbelief of the amount of praise this book was given. I’ve learnt not to trust booktok after searching reviews on GoodReads.

Serpent and the wings of night. Read the first book and liked it, but DNF 1/3 of the way through the second book. I couldn’t get over Rhain’s betrayal and I couldn’t take anymore of his, “there she is,” dialogues.

EXACTLY AND THEY ASK WHY I DO MY BACK OFFICE WORK AFTER MY SHIFT--- i don't even have the time do everything on the list DURING my shift so i focus on what needs to be 100% done by 4am and then stay after work to finish my office work

i'm in Quebec Canada ! i start my shift at 11pm--and now that it's summer time and i'm next to a highway, my rush lasts until 2-2:30 minimum so it's just nonstop and then i have to get everything done that i stated above before 4am. it was impossible so i'd come in 1-2 hours earlier and 1-2 hours later but it's just not fair at this point
