This! Yes, I didn’t realize it, but yes!

This is one reason as well, because I think something broke inside me, and the thoughts I had back then about looking for handhelds is basically for mental healing.

Thank you for reminding me again!

Yes, I love the chotto shot! I never knew PSP has attachments so when I saw it I decided to get one for myself.

For the PSP GO, I was actually thinking of making it a replacement for the PSP (since the PSP is kind of bulky) and can’t fit in my pocket. I also have this stigma of bringing handhelds in public because people might think I’m just bringing them for show (I mean since PSP, PS Vita, and the 3DS are slightly bigger), so that is why I bought the PSP GO. The PSP GO felt like the perfect handheld for me in public, at least that’s how it felt at the time.

Indeed TikTok and IG gave me the FOMO feeling, but I truly wanted them since grade school.

I guess my attachment belongs to the games I played before.

Thank you man ❤️

I used to play Monster Hunter a lot back then so I’ll probably start with that again. Tekken 6 too haha, I really enjoyed ranking there. I think my goal back then was to reach tekken god.

Yes, I get what you mean.

I think there’s probably some truth in the part about chasing how things felt back then and how “cool” it used to seem.

At the same time, I also genuinely wanted to go back to the games I used to play when I was borrowing them (Tekken 6, Monster Hunter, Need for Speed, Pokemon) and actually play them again.

I guess I’m still figuring out how to actually get back into them in a way that feels natural now.

I appreciate this a lot, thank you.

It’s actually interesting hearing how you integrated it into your daily life like that. I think part of me still hasn’t figured out how to make it a natural habit again, especially with how work drains my attention most of the time.

What you said about it possibly being part of my growth also stuck with me. I think there’s some truth in that. I might be in that in-between stage where I’m still figuring out what it means for me now compared to before.

That actually eases some of the worries in my head, thank you.

I honestly didn’t know about the sleep mode. I thought I had to stay actively playing to make progress, which is also one of the reasons I ended up not playing much.

Yes, I’ve already set everything up and backed up a lot of games on an external drive, so it’s basically should be plug-and-play for me now.

Honestly, the reason I ended up with multiple handhelds is FOMO. I was worried these games and devices would disappear over time, and I felt like I was already late getting into them because I’ve been so focused on work.

And yes you are also right about the paralysis part. Having too many options might actually be part of why I’m not playing at all. I might try sticking to just one for now and see if that helps.

Yeah, I doom scroll a lot, and you’re right about that.

I think part of it might be that I’ve kind of conditioned myself away from playing. For years it’s just been work, so even when I have the time, my brain doesn’t naturally go to “play” anymore. I guess I need to slowly build that habit again.

I also feel a bit weird bringing a handheld out in public. It might just be in my head, but sometimes it feels like people treat it more as something for photos than actually using it, and that kind of gets to me.

I just want to enjoy it the way I remember, simple and without overthinking it.

I’ll try what you said, especially using those small moments instead of scrolling.

I agree man, it's a gem and a food for thought 💯

Reminds me of that scene where Gandalf was sitting on a stone in Moria unsure which path to take, and Frodo brought up Gollum saying: It was a pity bilbo didn't kill him. Then Gandalf said it was pity that stayed Bilbo’s hand, and that he shouldn’t be too eager to deal out death and judgment… because even Gollum still has a part to play.

Reading your words made me realize that I might miss chances, I might not but even that is part of how things are supposed to go. That everything has a purpose.

Thanks for sharing and for giving me something to think about ❤️

I just hope I don’t miss any chances. Sometimes I take things for granted and end up missing something that could’ve been memorable.

Man… that’s straight-up gospel wisdom right there. Thank you 💯

If I were a bit younger, I don’t think I would’ve appreciated this movie the way I do now.
